Our newly described Scolopendra centipede is now known worldwide.

Last autumn, our newly described giant centipede "Scolopendra cataracta" from Thailand and Laos, was a big hit in social network.
The species was found to be amphibious and lives near the waterfall (hence, "cataracta" means "waterfall")
Our comprehensive work also includes all species from mainland Southeast Asia, and several notes on their biology, habitats and distribution.

Happy New Year 2017,

Meet our vibrant friends in your backyard.
Red, orange, yellow, they are all one species.

This colour-varied millipede species, Antheromorpha uncinata, could be found throughout Thailand above the Isthmus of Kra. The swarming of this millipede would be a spectacular event.
