หลังการกรวดน้ำในพิธีแต่งงานแบบไทย คู่บ่าวสาวจะนำน้ำที่กรวดแล้วไปรดที่โคนต้นไม้ใหญ่ เพื่ออุทิศบุญกุศลให้แก่เทวดาประจำตัว เป็นความเชื่อที่ช่วยเสริมสิริมงคลให้ชีวิตคู่ราบรื่น มั่นคง และเปี่ยมด้วยความสุข ดั่งต้นไม้ใหญ่ที่ยืนหยัดด้วยรากฐานอันแข็งแรง

บริเวณระเบียงใหญ่ชั้นสองแห่งนี้ เราตั้งใจสะท้อนจิตวิญญาณของ preservation อย่างแท้จริง ไม่ใช่เพียงการเก็บรักษาของเดิม แต่เป็นการให้ชีวิตใหม่โดยยังคงความทรงจำไว้ครบถ้วน

ผนังไม้สีขาวที่เห็น คือไม้ผนังจากบ้านหลังเดิม นำมาประกอบขึ้นใหม่ในรูปแบบเดิม เพื่อให้พื้นที่นี้ยังคงหายใจด้วยจังหวะของบ้านเก่า ตู้ลิ้นชักไม้ที่เคยเป็นตู้เก็บเสื้อผ้า ก็ถูกย้ายขึ้นมาวางพอดีบนผนังนี้ ราวกับถูกออกแบบมาเพื่ออยู่ตรงนี้ตั้งแต่แรก ด้านข้างคือเก้าอี้ตัวเดิม ที่เคยนั่งประจำอยู่บนระเบียงบ้านเดิม ยังคงทำหน้าที่เดิมในบ้านที่ฟื้นคืนชีวิต

ภาพรวมจึงกลายเป็นมุมเล่าเรื่อง: ของเดิมที่กลับมารวมตัวกันใหม่ในพื้นที่ใหม่ แต่ยังอบอุ่นเหมือนวันวาน—เป็นความงามแบบเรียบง่ายของการรักษา “ความทรงจำ” ให้ยังคงอยู่ในทุกชิ้นส่วนของบ้าน

This upper-floor veranda embodies a quiet sense of preservation—where original elements of the old house are not just kept, but thoughtfully given new life.

The white wooden wall is rebuilt using panels from the original home, reassembled exactly as they once were. The wooden chest, once used for storing clothes, now finds its perfect place here, as if it had always belonged to this corner. Beside it, the same chair that once sat on the old veranda returns to its familiar role in this revived space.

Together, these pieces create a small narrative corner—where the past gathers gently in the present, and where every element carries the warmth of memory into the home once more.

A story that defines this wall

ตั้งแต่เริ่มวางผังผนังรูปในล็อบบี้ เราเว้นที่เหนือเปียโนไว้ให้ภาพ “สามพี่น้องเจ้าของบ้าน” ภาพเดียวบนผนังที่ใช้สี ตัดกับภาพอื่นๆ ที่เป็นโทนซีเปีย เพื่อให้เป็นหัวใจของพื้นที่และสื่อถึงชีวิตชีวาของบ้าน

เรามอบหมายให้เพื่อนรุ่นน้อง ที่เป็นทั้งนักออกแบบและจิตรกร วาดภาพนี้จากเรื่องเล่าที่ส่งให้ โดยไม่ใช้รูปจริง เพราะอยากให้ตัวละครเกิดจากจินตนาการและบุคลิกตามเรื่องราว

วันที่ภาพวาดเสร็จและถูกนำมาติดที่เดิมที่รอไว้ บ้านเหมือนสมบูรณ์ขึ้นทันที ราวกับภาพนี้เกิดมาเพื่ออยู่คู่กับบ้านหลังนี้เสมอมา

From the very beginning of planning the lobby gallery wall, we reserved the space above the piano for one special piece—the painted portrait of the three sisters who once lived here, the only artwork in full color to represent the home’s spirit and liveliness.

The artist, my talented friend , created the portrait purely from the stories I shared, without seeing their real photos, so the characters could take shape through imagination and narrative.

When the painting finally arrived, it felt as though the house became complete—like this artwork had always been meant to belong here, waiting for its place on the wall.
