Convenience Wear, FamilyMart’s in-house apparel line, is stepping into the world of sumo with a special limited-edition collaboration celebrating the legendary yokozuna Chiyonofuji. The collection features two simple yet distinctive items: line socks inspired by the sacred shimenawa rope worn by a yokozuna, alongside a hand towel depicting an iconic, historical moment from his storied sumo career. 
For those interested, the limited collection was available for pre-order on FamilyMart’s online portal starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 25, followed by a nationwide rollout in FamilyMart stores across Japan on August 28.

Byredo and modern storytelling beyond fragrance 🍜✨
During SS27 Paris Fashion Week, Byredo joined forces with Willo Perron and En One Tokyo to express the brand‘s DNA through Rebel Ramen, reimagining traditional Japanese yatai into a sleek monochrome structure inside a raw underground parking garage, perfectly captured through glowing neon and stacked beer-crate seating in a brutalist style. 
By partnering with local café Dreamin Man, Byredo seamlessly rooted a Tokyo-inspired concept into the Parisian community. This strategic localization generated massive organic buzz, proving the high ROI of spatial storytelling.

Erykah Badu brought “Monday Ceremony” to Berlin as an intimate listening session for just 25 guests inside the Reethaus “Sound Temple,” held as part of Telekom Electronic Beats’ 25th anniversary celebrations. 
Over the course of 30 minutes, participants were asked to surrender their phones and give their full attention to unreleased material, recordings from Badu’s personal archive and spontaneous improvisations. First introduced in Tokyo, Monday Ceremony transformed the Berlin venue into a space for reflection, presence and deep listening, offering a rare and intimate encounter with one of music’s most influential voices.

In the heart of Hackney Wick, once a centre of industry and rave culture and where the UK’s first plastic was manufactured, stands one of the last original warehouses to survive the wave of generic London architecture. When Helena moved in 11 years ago, the streets were quiet, almost free of CCTV, with many buildings appearing abandoned. 
After two months of intense work, the space became the home she envisioned. Today, it also serves as a photography rental and creative hub, and gave rise to Mother Tongue (Mother Tongue), a project curated by Helena that brings artists and makers together through workshops.

The core of Hana Mitsui’s work lies in connecting Japan‘s cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art and design. In the PIXEL WEAVE -IGUSA PROJECT-, her idea stemmed from noticing that the grid structure of traditional tatami weaving, made from Igusa grass, remarkably resembled digital pixels. 
Working alongside traditional craftspeople, she applied ancient weaving techniques to create contemporary graphic imagery, such as a woven portrait of the ”Mona Lisa“ using natural fibers. This piece reflects her vision of recognizing the value in traditional materials and heritage, reinterpreting and reconstructing them to craft a beauty that is both modern and sustainable.

Elephant Dung Bricks: The Thai Crafted Architecture of Necessity Reshaping Khao Lak 
In the heart of Phang Nga stands Khao Chang, a limestone mountain shaped like a reclining elephant, serving as a symbol of the city’s past embedded in its landscape and legends.
Today, a new structure honors that legacy: Goya Tower. Named after a local female elephant, this entrance tower for the Matalay project is built from elephant dung bricks. 
If Khao Chang represents Phang Nga’s memory, Goya Tower embodies its living present, reflecting an elephant still eating, walking, and actively shaping its architecture.

  // ใจกลางจังหวัดพังงา มีภูเขาหินปูนลูกหนึ่งรูปทรงคล้ายช้างหมอบ ผู้คนเรียกขานมันว่า ”เขาช้าง“ ตามตำนานท้องถิ่น เล่ากันว่าเคยมีช้างพลายตัวหนึ่งตกลงมา ณ ที่แห่งนี้และกลายเป็นหินไป ภูเขาลูกนี้จึงเปรียบเสมือนช้างที่สลักอยู่ในความทรงจำของเมือง ฝังแน่นอยู่ในผืนแผ่นดิน ทัศนียภาพ และเรื่องเล่าของผู้คน 
ในปัจจุบัน มีสิ่งก่อสร้างอีกแห่งหนึ่งในพังงาที่อัญเชิญนามของช้างมาใช้เช่นกัน นั่นคือหอคอยที่มีชื่อว่า Goya ซึ่งตั้งชื่อตามช้างพังที่กำเนิดในพื้นที่แห่งนี้ หอคอยโกย่าตั้งอยู่บริเวณทางเข้าของโครงการ ”มาทะเล“ (Matalay) สร้างขึ้นจาก ”อิฐมูลช้าง“  
ถ้าเขาช้างเปรียบเหมือนความทรงจำของพังงา Goya Tower ก็คือตัวแทนของปัจจุบันที่มีชีวิต มันคือช้างที่ยังคงกิน เดิน และมีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างสรรค์งานสถาปัตยกรรมอยู่จริงๆ
