BREAKING: Thai Army Condemns Cambodia for Violating Ceasefire Agreement, Destroying Trust

The Army condemns Cambodia for violating the ceasefire agreement, saying Cambodia intentionally destroying the system of trust, while Thailand strictly adheres to its obligations but must self-defend and retaliate.
At 7:30 AM on July 29, 2025, at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, Major General Winthai Suvaree, spokesman for the Royal Thai Army, addressed Cambodia's violation of the ceasefire agreement. He stated that the Thai and Cambodian governments had reached a mutual agreement to cease military combat along the border, effective 12:00 AM on July 28, 2025, to create an atmosphere of peace, reduce tensions, and promote cooperation between neighboring countries.
The Army condemns Cambodia for violating the ceasefire agreement, while Thailand strictly adheres to its obligations but must appropriately self-defend and retaliate. The Army insists that it somevl areas, the fighting went on until 5:30 AM.
However, it is extremely regrettable that at the designated time, the Thai side still detected Cambodian forces attacking several points within Thai territory. This is considered an intentional violation of the agreement, aiming to destroy the mutual trust. Therefore, the Army condemns such actions.
The Thai side will be forced to take appropriate retaliatory measures under the legitimate right to self-defense. The Thai side confirms it is not using military force to invade, but to prevent encroachment and protect national sovereignty under international rules.
Major General Winthai also stated that initially, the meeting with military unit leaders in the area has been moved to 10:00 AM from the original scheduled time of 7:00 AM.
