ผมเคยฝันว่า...จะได้จัดงานไตรกีฬา
ผมเคยฝันว่า...สักวันนึงผมจะได้จัด IRONMAN
ผมเคยฝันว่า...ต้องจัดให้ดี มีอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทย
สุดท้ายผมฝันว่า...รายการของเราต้องไม่เป็นรองใคร!

ถึงวันนี้ ผมคิดว่า...ผมได้จัดงานที่ใกล้เคียงกับความฝันทั้งหมดของผมแล้วครับ

ไตรลีกได้มีโอกาสจัดงาน IRONMAN 70.3 อีกครั้ง โดยในครั้งนี้ ยังคงมีชาวต่างชาติและชาวไทยมาร่วมแข่งขันกันเป็นจำนวนมากเช่นเคย...ถึงแม้จะเว้นวรรคไปนานถึง 3 ปี (ครั้งสุดท้าย จัดเมื่อปี 2020) ทำให้หลายๆ ฝ่ายมีความกังวลว่า ไตรลีกจะยังคงรักษามาตรฐานของจัดงาน ให้ออกมาได้เช่นเดิมหรือไม่?

หลังจากจบงาน ผมได้เห็นรอยยิ้มจากเพื่อนๆ นักไตรทั้งชาวไทยและต่างชาติกันแทบทุกคน แสดงว่า ผู้แข่งขันและผู้ร่วมงานส่วนใหญ่มีความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้อ่ะครับ

ส่วนตัวของผม คิดว่าปีนี้ไตรลีกทำได้ดีขึ้นกว่าเดิม สาเหตุหลักๆ คงเป็นเพราะเราเติบโตขึ้น ทีมงานมีประสบการณ์มากขึ้น จากการได้จัดงานในระดับนานาชาติมาหลายครั้ง อาทิ ATMBKK, พัทยามาราธอน หรือแม้กระทั่งงานวิ่งเทรลภูเขาชิงแชมป์โลก ฯลฯ รายการเหล่านี้ จะมีทีมงานชาวต่างชาติ มาช่วยแนะนำ ช่วยสอน ช่วยเป็นพี่เลี้ยง ให้ทีมงานไตรลีกได้ฝึกฝน จนสามารถนำสิ่งต่างๆ มาใช้ให้เกิดประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ในวันนี้อ่ะครับ

วันนี้...ผมคิดว่าผมทำเต็มที่แล้วครับ ผมผสมผสานความเป็นไทยลงไปในความเป็นสากลในทุกๆ ชิ้นงานของผมแล้ว....

ทั้งค่าสมัคร, ทั้งอาหาร, EXPO, งานเลี้ยงต้อนรับ, ของที่ระลึก, ภาพถ่าย, การตกแต่งสถานที่แข่งขัน, ทีมแพทย์พยาบาล, หน่วยกู้ภัย, ตำรวจ, อาสาสมัคร, กองเชียร์ และการดึงทุกภาคส่วนทั้งรัฐบาล จังหวัด ท้องถิ่น ชุมชนและภาคเอกชนชั้นนำ มาช่วยสนับสนุน...ผมทำตามความฝันได้เกือบทั้งหมด!!!

เหลือเพียงอย่างเดียวที่ผมยังทำไม่ได้ นั่นคือ....

วันนี้ ผู้แข่งขันทุกท่าน น่าจะได้รับอีเมล์จากไอรอนแมน เพื่อสอบถามถึงความพึงพอใจในการมาร่วมแข่งขันรายการนี้แล้วนะครับ (ถ้าไม่เจอลองหาทาง Junk Mail นะครับ)

ผมเลยอยากจะขอให้ผู้แข่งขันทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ ช่วยกรอกแบบสอบถามจากไอรอนแมนให้ผมหน่อยนะครับ

หากเพื่อนๆ ท่านใด ประทับใจ ช่วยกันโหวต แบบจัดเต็ม ให้ผมหน่อยนะครับ (ปล.โหวตเฉพาะผู้แข่งขันนะครับ)

ผมอยากเห็นว่า ของเรา จะได้เป็น TOP RANK ของเอเชียหรือไม่? ใครจะไปรู้ว่า ผลโหวตที่ออกมา อาจจะทำให้เราไปไกล ติดอันดับ TOP ของโลกก็เป็นไปได้ นะครับ!!!

วันนี้ผมอายุ 50 ปีแล้วครับ เริ่มแก่แล้วครับ ผมอยากให้ทั่วโลกรู้ว่า....ประเทศไทยของเรา ก็มีความสามารถในการจัดการแข่งขันไตรกีฬาระดับโลก ได้เช่นกันครับ :)

Only the person registered can pick up their race kit at Check-In. Please note that it is not permitted for someone else to compete under your name or for you to compete under someone else’s name.

Relay teams must be present together at Athlete Check-In, at the same time. No relay team will be permitted to check in if all members are not present.

GET TO KNOW OUR RUN COURSE!!!

Before your journey to AMAZING THAILAND & TOYOTA IRONMAN 70.3 BANGSAEN 2024 Presented by MAMA in week of 17-18 February 2024.

Kindly make sure to go over the Athlete Information Guide to ensure you've met everything on your pre-race checklist. The ease of mind will get you in the zone come race day.

And before the race day, we would like to know our RUN COURSE.

[COURSE]
The run course has rolling slopes, flats, and a mixed scenery of beaches and shades. The course starts on the beach promenade making its way towards Khao Sam Muk Hill and where you enter the “Monkey Zone”, a famous tourist spot inhabited by monkeys.

Thereafter pace along the cultural scene of the “Old Chinese Temple” and the “Local Fisherman’s Village” and then enter “Lam Taen” and the modern landmark along the natural coastline.

[RUN CUT OFF]
8 hours 30 mins from athlete’s individual start time.

Intermediate cut-offs are determined by race management and are as follows:
• 12:30pm – 0km (Transition Run Exit)
• 2:22pm – 13.7km (Start lap 3)
• 3:25pm – 21.1km (Finish gantry)

[AID STATIONS]
Aid stations are approximately 1.6km – 1.8km apart on the run.

[LAPBANDS]
On each lap of the run course, athletes will be required to go through a “lap band collection point” located shortly after tournaround point.

At this point athletes will collect a different colored lap band based on what number lap they are currently on. The color of lap band you’re required to grab will be displayed on a sign. i.e. “First lap = Red”.

When you pass the finish line for the final time, you will need to have the required number of lap bands on to run down the finish chute.
