This month, you chose Re:wild 🌿
After a tie on our charity board and a final vote here, our community support this month has gone to Re:wild.
And we're very happy to send a little help toward some genuinely lovely things happening around the world.
One of them is the Search for Lost Species.
Instead of assuming that a species nobody has seen for decades must be gone, people actually go looking.
And sometimes they find them.
A tiny deer with fangs.
The world's largest bee.
An iridescent golden mole, found again after 87 years.
A little rabbit in Mexico, rediscovered after more than 120 years.
Since 2017, searches supported by Re:wild have helped rediscover 15 lost species. Each one means something we feared we'd lost is still here — and there's another chance to protect it.
Their work goes much further than searching. Together with more than 600 partners, Re:wild helps protect and restore forests, rivers, reefs and other wild places, recover threatened species and fight wildlife crime. Today that work benefits more than 36,000 species.
And there's another part we particularly like.
More than 400 of their partners are local organisations.
All over the world there are already people who know their forest, river, coastline or wildlife intimately — Indigenous communities, local conservation groups, researchers and rangers who have often spent years caring for the place around them.
Re:wild helps put funding, tools, science and connections into their hands so they can keep doing it.
We're very glad our little contribution gets to join that. 🌱

And because this month's result began as a tie, Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand isn't going back to zero. All the support it received on our board and in the Instagram vote carries forward: WFFT enters next month's charity board with one vote already waiting for it 💚
