Thailand is set to become the first country in Southeast Asia to pass a same-sex marriage bill.

On March 27, 2024, this same-sex marriage bill was introduced previously by the Prime Minister at the recent DEI event earlier this month.

The bill was then submitted to the House of Representatives which was then passed by a an overwhelmingly vote of 400 to 10, further revealing the Cultural Mindset of all Thais in allowing individuals of different genders to marry. The bills suggest changes to 68 sections within the Thai Civil and Commercial Code, aiming to promote gender equality and diversity.

Following this step, the House will submit the draft Marriage Equal Act for consideration in the Senate's agenda 2-3, pending approval. The Prime Minister will then present the draft to His Majesty the King for announcement in the Royal Gazette in 120.

Thailand's House of Representatives has approved a same-sex marriage bill, backing equality and legal rights for all couples.

So proud to be a part of your lives and the amazing path you have walked together. Now with my two beautiful nephews, I just want to say how proud I am of both of you and I feel blessed every day to have such a great family that even being far away in Norway, we still talk daily in groups and video chats.

Seeing the boys grow when we are apart and to be able to talk live thru video call almost daily keeps the heart pumping for our next Adventure together as a family. Thank You!!

At least once a month over the course of my life, I have been approached with an opportunity to try doing something new that I have never done before and even though I used to listen to the people around me who would fill me with self-doubt and you told me many times to just ignore them.

It may be acting, coaching, therapy, presentations, comedy, voice-over, and negotiations in both work or in social settings as well, but every time the first thing you hear out of most people is the quickest “NO” without even listening to the offer an the opportunity presented to challenge yourself. It is at that point where you stop challenging yourself that you start that downward spiral which is hard to climb out of. Each time and every time, instead of a no just say “Yes” without having to go to the same lengths an imitate Jim Carrey.
For me, I always think back to how excited you would be when I told you about attempting something new and took the chance to do something that no one thought I could do! Thank you Dad for helping me both here on Earth and from Heaven!

Having someone excited for the chances I once took and continue to take while also showing me the patience not to overthink something and just try my best!

Your laughter when we talked was and still is the fuel that has kept me pushing hard to create new memories as much as I can!! Love you and miss you everyday!
