In ‘Counterpoint Picks’, we ask the artists to pick a few recent obsessions and a few words they evoke – giving you a bit of a glimpse of what you can expect on the dancefloor.

Coming next up is miro – a Bratislava-based selector and a member of collective, known for crafting murky yet uplifting soundscapes that blur the lines between leftfield bass, experimental sonics and contemporary club music. As a resident at Prague’s , with his monthly show he dives deep into the shadowy corners of rhythm, surfacing with surprising treasures.

In this new format called ‘Counterpoint Picks’, we ask the artists to pick a few recent obsessions and a few words they evoke – giving you a bit of a glimpse of what you can expect on the dancefloor🧞.

As the first in the roster we’re excited to introduce – a producer/dj from Kharkhiv, Ukraine. Being also a part of project ‘Killa Selfie’, they recently released an EP where they fuse grabby basslines with breakbeats with a hint of Ukrainian folklore.

Looking forward to see you September 19 at on the first full-night Counterpoint, like back in the days (and much more is coming 😎)

“Homegrown DJ and producer (a moniker I like to think translates to ‘new rave’) has a shades-on, cooler-than-you USP ready to be exported far and wide. She lives and dies by the breakbeat, but has the smokey, lulling vocals and ping-ponging synths to complete the package. If all club music sounded more like “Cloud9”, I’d consider never sleeping again. ”
