We are honored to welcome Anthony Rother for his debut in Bratislava, delivering a hybrid live set at OLAM x Intergalactic FM night. Anthony Rother is an influential electro pioneer and one of electronic music’s most prolific producers. Over more than two decades, he has built a vast musical legacy, pushing the boundaries of electro, techno, and pop music. Rother began his career in the late '80s and made a name for himself in Germany’s electronic scene with the releases "S*x With The Machines" (1997) and "Simulationszeitalter" (2000). In 1998, he founded his label Psi49Net to maintain artistic independence and explore dystopian themes through vocoder-driven vocals and dark, machine-like beats. This sound became his trademark and gained him international recognition, particularly with the projects "Little Computer People" (2001) and "Hacker" (2002).
In 2004, Rother launched the Datapunk imprint, shifting towards a more song-oriented style that influenced many artists, including The Hacker, Boys Noize, and Terence Fixmer. He also collaborated with prominent figures like Kraftwerk’s Karl Bartos, Sven Väth, and DJ Hell. By 2013, Rother paused Datapunk to focus on his creative roots, moving his studio and rediscovering his artistic instincts. He returned in 2017 with new music on his Psi49Net label, including the album "3L3C7RO COMMANDO," signalling his enduring commitment to electro music. In 2019, Rother continued to release new material, including works on DVS1’s Mistress Recordings and Radio Slave’s Rekids label, affirming his ongoing influence in the electronic music world.
