I met a couple turned entrepreneurs at Bazaar Geylang Serai last night. Mr Zul and his wife rented the space at $2,000 per booth for 36 days (about $55 per day). Mr Zul shared with me that he has covered the cost of his rental in the early part of the Bazaar period. He also shared that the crowd level has been great, especially last Friday evening. In fact, his stock is running low.

I have been going around both Bazaars at Geylang Serai and Kampong Gelam since the start of Ramadan. The spirit is high and the vendors are looking forward to the days ahead towards the Hari Raya. Many of the vendors have turned towards the social media as part of their marketing strategy. I would urge more to do so.

I wish all the vendors my best wishes in the days ahead.
