Hyrox Race Reflections π
β¨
After a restful 5 days post last weekend's Hyrox Race, I'm thrilled to share the triumphs and revelations of this incredible journey with you all. Age, at 46, is just a number, proving that the fitness journey is truly timeless.
Big shoutout to my phenomenal coach at Metamorfitus and my incredible family, my unwavering support system in this adventure. Your guidance and belief have fueled every step.
Training Grounds: Started this journey at 42, battling weight and uncertainty. Post-Covid, found strength at and gym. Every drop of sweat, every sore muscle - a testament to dedication.
Hyrox Experience: A rollercoaster of challenges and triumphs. Functional stations tested endurance, strength, and mental fortitude. Identified the need to sharpen my running game. Cramps on the 7th and 8th run were hurdles, but I powered through, listened to my body, and emerged victorious.
Completing the Course: The clock might not define my success, but completing the full course is a victory. This marks the beginning, a benchmark for future triumphs. The Hyrox Race is a celebration of resilience and determination.
Appreciation: Heartfelt thank you to my coach for sculpting me into the Fathlete I am today. To my wife and children, thank you for being my rock, my cheerleader, and my partner in every step. This victory is as much yours as it is mine.
Looking Ahead: With sore muscles and a heart full of pride, I'm already looking forward to next year's Hyrox Race. Here's to setting new records, breaking barriers, and embracing the relentless pursuit of fitness. Onward and upward! πͺπ₯
