移喜措嘉（Yeshe Tsogyal）于公元 757 年出生于西藏高贵的卡晨（Kharchen）家族。她在 16 岁时被迫与藏王赤松德赞（Trisong Detsen）进行了一场违背意愿的王室联姻，以平息相互竞争的求婚者与当地诸侯之间的暴力冲突。此后，她摆脱了世俗生活，潜心修行，最终成为了“藏传佛教之母”。

Born in 757 CE into the noble Kharchen clan in Tibet, Yeshe Tsogyal was forced into an unwanted royal marriage to the Emperor of Tibet, Trisong Detsen at age 16 to settle violent disputes between rival suitors and local princes before escaping her worldly life to become the mother of Tibetan Buddhism.
