Exclusively organized for Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Titled ‘Automated Constructions and Sustainable Development’, this program boasts topics such as Climate Change Mitigation and Carbon Management in the Built Environment, Sustainable Urban Development, Floating Infrastructure, Digital Technology for Construction, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Geology in Singapore and Its Impact on Sustainable Construction, Coastal Protection, and Rainfall & Flooding.

We are at halfway-mark (6 Aug 2024). The students have visited the NUS Civil & Environmental Engineering labs, URA City Gallery (led by The Urbanist Singapore) and SDE4 (with Prof Bala’s research team).

24 Apr was a hot day but it turned out to be perfect for our outing! Together with a few students of Civil & Environmental Eng., we cycled through Chinatown - Tanjong Pagar, stopping at heritage sites. Excureion ended at URA City Gallery, thanks to Calvin for generously giving a little of his time to the students, advising them on Singapore urban development, then, now, and a bit into the future. Last but not least... chicken rice lunch at Maxwell Market 😂 Great day overall! Thanks guys... for enjoying it 🚴‍♂️

After an encouraging meeting with Petra University’s HOD Civil Eng. and Dean of Civil Eng. & Planning, now light-heartedly going to Bandung for a chit chat 😆 with Parahyangan University’s International Relations Office in Bandung. So looking forward to this, finally meeting Annisa and Pak Reinard in person.
