Lionel Messi is someone I have admired my whole life. I choose my idols based on the qualities I value most. humility, kindness, and being the best at what they do. And for me, the way they treat their fans means everything.
I know Lionel Messi is “a football player,” but for me, he has unknowingly taught me so much about life.
He taught me that you don’t have to be born with everything. You have to work every single day towards your goals. You have to be consistent, keep improving, and strive to become the best at what you do.
Lionel Messi has unknowingly helped me through some of the most difficult phases of my life. On some days, ! would remind myself: you don’t have to be the tallest.
You don’t have to be the smartest. You don’t have to be like anyone else.
You just have to be YOU and then work hard enough to become the best version of yourself.
Break the stereotype. Be different. Keep going.
It has been an honour to be born in the same universe and the same timeline as Lionel Messi. An honour to grow up watching him on a screen, doing things that seemed impossible.
I always knew this day would come. I always imagined what it would feel like. But to every Messi fan out there..trust me, we were never going to be ready for this.
Thank you for everything, Leo. Legend
It was an honour to watch you play.
It was an honour to live in your era.
And it will always be an honour to say:
I was alive when Lionel Messi was changing football
Forever
