It's Cakepopolicious! Our inaugural bake sale event opened with a bang with customers coming as early as the doors opened. There was a queue forming outside the door even before some of the bakers arrive! Now is that a successful event or what?

For many bakers, this was a first participating in such events. The opportunity to network, mingle and taste each others bake was exciting, like old friends who haven't met in a long time, and in this instance, meeting in person for the first time. For our bakers IG followers it was a good platform to finally get a slice of cake or tart that they have been wanting to taste!

Bakers and customers went home happy and satisfied. And for us, the organizer, we would call it a roaring success and we were elated at the turnout!

Until the next event, happy Tuesday to y'all!

Here's a recap of last week's "Breathe, Eat & Drip Coffee" that took place at the Coffee Lab, at a beautiful 4-storey bungalow. Participants had a great time learning about the varieties, regions, process and everyone got the opportunity to make their own cup of speciality coffee! And you can't have coffee without snacks! All refreshments (scones, empanadas and tarts) that afternoon were created specifically by using coffee beans from Ethiopia and Rwanda.

It's Cakepopolicious!
“The first time Lutfi baked was when he helped his grandma make festive bakes like pineapple tarts for Hari Raya. He later rediscovered his interest in baking when he was studying in the States.

Currently, he has a full time day job and bakes as a hobby. He likes to make bakes that are packed with flavours and textures with a twist to keep things fresh and interesting.

Come savour some of his special bakes on 28th September! Look out for the Ondeh Ondeh Tart slices (a crowd favourite), along with a variety of cake slices and cookies.

We invite you to come join TCT's 1st Sunday Brunch Pop-Up with Chef Raj, who has worked in well-known restaurants around the world, including under Daniel Boulud in New York.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu where his family owns and runs two local bakeries, he grew up surrounded by food which sparked his passion for cooking. Even if this means sneaking in to steal freshly baked buns hot from the oven at the age of 5!

Despite growing up vegetarian, he moved to Singapore determined to hone his culinary skills. Training primarily in French restaurants at the start, he wound up leading an Italian restaurant before taking up the role of Head Chef at Google. There he helped set up and ran a gourmet kitchen and a café serving up to 2000 employees and led up to 30 chefs and cooks.

, a private kitchen, was born out of Chef Raj’s desire to return to simply cooking a good meal and seeing his guests enjoy it! They focus on using the best ingredients available without being constrained by a particular cuisine or style. A vegan menu is always available. allows Chef Raj to bring some of home into his food. Although his cooking tends to give away his classical French training, we are reminded of his roots with his unique use of spices.

To reserve your brunch spot, contact Wee Loon at 91192803 before seats get booked up!

It's Cakepopolicious! Let us get to know our 4th baker, . Phyl enjoys baking more than she cooks. An ex-HR practitioner turned homebaker, you'll find her in her kitchen on most days. What started as an interest watching her aunt bake her all-time favourite pandan chiffon cake ignited her passion for baking. Hence her love to create complex flavours and colours using her favourite base chiffon recipe. Phyl is also her own competitor, constantly challenging herself to be better at her next bake.

Let Phyl tempt you with her latest cake flavour - a popular Singaporean classic treat. Imagine a bowl of chendol - iced coconut milk sweetened with a palm sugar syrup, which lends it a lightly smoky, caramelized flavor. Add on spoonfuls of green rice-flour, a scoop of sweetened red beans and that's a cool and refreshing dessert! Phyl will be recreating this Singaporean classic in the form of a 3-layer chendol chiffon cake.

If you have been waiting for a chance to try her chendol chiffon cake and other bakes, mark your calendar for September 28th, 10am to 3pm at The Adelphi. Be early or be sorry!
