Life can be full of challenges, sorrows, and tough decisions. But even amidst hardship, the Lord counsels us to be strong and courageous.

How can we be strong and of a good courage?

Being strong and courageous usually doesn’t require any grand gestures. More often, it’s made up of small decisions we make every day that show our trust in God. As we prayerfully seek His direction, study His word, and follow His example each day, we will have the courage to let go of fear and face our challenges with faith. As you turn to Jesus Christ in faith and follow His counsel to be strong and of a good courage, you will feel the assurance that He is always with you.

These comforting words can apply to all of us as we seek to live a good life and overcome our own unique challenges.

🌟 Verse of the Day 🌟



“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Do you know God's words can be so plain and simple but very often we complicate it and couldn't believe the given condition is that straight forward. Familiar?

When Jesus said "seek FIRST His kingdom", He simply means to put Him first and the rest of our heart desire will be added unto us. The worldly distraction and worldly standards had us believe in pursuing our "first" in other areas like our career, our wealth, our status, our education, our business...and the list goes on.

Here's a MSG version of Matthew 6:33 MSG which gave a more direct context of the verse:

"What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”

To abide is to “dwell,” “remain,” “be present,” and to “be held and kept.” Abiding addresses our posture and place. Where are we in proximity to Christ?

When we dwell in God’s presence and remain in His Word, we experience His power and peace. Abiding is not about our efforts; instead, it draws our attention to Christ’s accomplishments on our behalf. We are held and kept in His peace and promises so we can enjoy His deep rest.

Do you know the fruit of the Spirit is not a to-do list to check off. It's a gift to us when we came and accept Jesus Christ as our saviour. The Spirit lives in us because new life has come in Christ, and we have been set free from slavery to the flesh, sin, and the law.

The Spirit works in us to produce fruit that is in keeping with the family likeness, as we fix our eyes on Jesus, remain fully dependent upon Him, and seek to worship Him in all of life.

Christianity is not a set of rules, nor is the Bible a manual for good living. Christianity is about a relationship with God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
