We were showered with loads of sunshine- in vibe, in laughter, and definitely in heat, surrounded by the wonderful people who made this day so, so memorable and fun πŸ₯³

Do weddings always need a hard theme to stick to? Or is it sometimes better to have an idea, let the day flow as it ought to, and simply enjoy the company, conversations and laughter along the way?

For Jonah & Zhi Ying, we loved the brief: focus on the little ones and the people they love. Because really, a wedding day is so much more than the perfectly posed moments, it’s the little in-between moments, the laughter, the chaos, and everything that happens when everyone is simply having a really good time together.

And honestly, we think that’s a pretty lovely way to spend a wedding day πŸ’›

If we were ever to create a series with words on each photo, it had to start with Nick and Qiu.

β€œI will not let her go hungry.” Simple. Straightforward. Yet somehow, it says everything.

I remember the hilarious chatters we had with Nick and Qiu as they shared their story with us when we got on to discuss about their wedding plans. Stories about teh-peng, their memories with their car. They admitted that they have vastly different personalities but hearing them talk about their journey together, the two seemed to have grown so much together as a couple.

Perhaps that’s what a good relationship looks like, not finding someone exactly like us, but learning how to build a life together with the differences.

I hope this little series serves as a gentle reminder to cherish the ordinary, find contentment in what we already have, and love the life we’re living 🩷

Love nurtured by faith, family and friendship. Brendan and Abigail’s wedding was one that left us with the wonderful feelings that they are deeply, deeply loved by those around them.

It was in the way their families looked at them. In the smiles exchanged across the pews. In the blessings spoken, and in those felt deeply without words. Throughout the day, there was undeniable sense of gratitude, for the blessings, for the people who had shaped them, walked beside them, prayed for them, and loved them into becoming who they are today.

Thank you, Brendan and Abigail, for allowing us to document your joy-filled and deeply loved celebration ❀️
