Creating tropical-inspired floral designs in Singapore feels completely natural. 🌱

The sunlight, humidity, and lush plant life here provide the perfect backdrop for this style of design.

For this installation, we used woven foliage as the main structural element, allowing the foliage to become more than just a supporting material, it becomes the visual framework of the piece. Birds of Paradise, heliconias, and tropical foliage are layered throughout, preserving their natural upward growth and creating a stronger sense of place.

Rather than creating a tropical setting, we aim to let the floral design respond to its environment.

Because a truly Singaporean tropical aesthetic is not about recreating a rainforest.🌞🌞🌞

Sometimes, just a turn or a back view,
and the whole atmosphere of the photo comes alive.

Floral arrangement is never just about flowers. 🌿

For this piece, I used foliage as the main structural framework first, building the lines, movement, space, and natural growing feeling before adding in the flowers.

Then slowly layered orchids into the greens, like little highlights growing naturally within the composition.

Foliage, structure, negative space, texture, and airiness — these are the details that truly bring a piece to life.

Sometimes, what touches people the most isn’t the flowers themselves, but the feeling the whole composition gives.

Day 5 of our Korea floral study trip — and also the final day of this beautiful journey. 🌿

We met again in Gumi for a stunning candle stand floral design class.
From color combinations and flower selection to techniques and structure, the lesson was filled with so much valuable knowledge and detail.

Following the her color palette and guidance, everyone created such beautiful pieces.
When all the works were placed together, it truly felt like a visual feast, everyone couldn’t stop admiring them.

A beautiful session with on bouquet making and signature wrapping techniques.

We explored how to create bouquets with a strong sense of space — light, airy, and full of natural movement. What made it even more special was seeing everyone work with the same flowers, yet each bouquet turned out completely unique.

That’s the magic of floral design, same materials, different hands, different stories.💜
