蓼蓼者莪，匪莪伊蒿。哀哀父母，生我劬勞。
無父何怙？無母何恃？出則銜卹，入則靡至。
父兮生我，母兮鞠我，拊我畜我，長我育我，
顧我復我，出入腹我。欲報之德，昊天罔極
"The plant is tall and dense with artemisia,
It is not merely artemisia, but wormwood.
Alas, my parents,
How much they toiled to bring me into existence.
Without a father, whom could I turn to for support?
Without a mother, whom could I rely on for strength?
When I venture out, I carry their teachings;
When I return, there is no rest from their concern.
Father, you gave me life;
Mother, you nurtured and raised me,
Fed and cared for me,
Protected and watched over me,
Guided me and embraced me.
In all my comings and goings,
You were always in my thoughts, and I in yours.
How can I repay such boundless kindness?
The heavens themselves seem vast and limitless.
