A personal project I’ve been working on for a while finally took off the ground this friday ✨

When I lived as a busker performing magic on the streets of Lisbon I met a lot of amazingly talented and interesting people and I became really close friends with some of them.

I found Sarah and Patrick under the on Instagram, I saw that they were heading for Lisbon and immediately reached out asking if they wanted to meet when they got there and said that I can show them the better places to busk around the city.

They went under the name where they shared music and stories from their travels around the world. And they also turned out to be amazing people and we hang out for most of the week they spent in Lisbon. Even in that short amount of time I felt that I had found two new lifelong friends.

Skipping forward 4 years they had developed their music duo (still under the same name) and started to produce their own music while also building a big following on social media.

We were still in contact during these years but over phone calls and message since there was a long distance between us, and during this time my passion for design and web development had grown a lot, mostly due to covid.

I asked them if I could have the honour to design a website for them, something that felt in line with their artistic identity and where they could continue to push forward in their dream of being independent artists.

In march earlier this year I flew down to Aarhus where they lived, crashed on their sofa for a week and started the works of this website.

Thanks to their cooperation and some really nice photography assets from their friend (my friend too now) this became my most proud creation so far!

Had a planned spontaneous (a bit contradictory, yes) photo shoot today at the office and the prize for the best photobomb goes to 🎉 Didn’t see it until hours later. Don’t ask about my pose, no idea what I’m doing there.

I’ve collected so many great memories from my street shows around in Europe and I can remember this particular show so well. As you can imagine when you perform about 30 shows per week, every single one is not going to be super fun, most of them is done by routine. But every now and then I had a show that was truly amazing, and my measurement for amazing is the connection with the people who’s stopped to watch my show. When this happens it doesn’t feel like I’m “performing”, it just feels like where hanging out, having a good time as friends. This was one of those shows, I think you can see the genuine emotion in this photo!
