Kulturutskottet would like to recommend all KI students to visit The Cell in Forskaren on May 15th at 5:30 pm, for the grand opening (!)of the new exhibition:
Me, You, We - Exploring Human Behavior
“Through three exhibitions, The Cell invites you to explore human behaviour – from the inner self to the larger collective. With art’s unique power to move us and pose life’s most challenging questions, we open the door to what it truly means to be human.
In the first part, Me, we explore the relationship between fundamental human needs, mental health, and the evolution of technology.
✨ Opening Night: May 15 at 5:30 PM
We would love for you to join us as we launch the exhibition with an evening of art, conversation, and music.
Programme
5:30 PM – Doors open
6:00 PM – Welcome speech & opening music
6:10 PM – Meet the artists behind the works
7:00 PM – Live performance by GRANT
9:00 PM – Closing of the evening
Artists
Lene Marie Fossen (NO) – A photographer who, with extraordinary presence, documented her life with severe anorexia through powerful self-portraits. In Me, selected works from 2017 are presented – images where pain and creativity go hand in hand.
Francesco Albano (IT) – A sculptor whose work reflects the collapse of both body and psyche. In the installation Twelve Years Ago New Year’s Feast, we encounter a body quite literally buckling under emotional weight – a raw, honest, and deeply moving portrayal.
Teresa Wennberg (SE/FR) – A digital art pioneer who has been experimenting with video, AI, and VR since the 1980s. Her work Nuit Blanche is now shown in a restored version – a poetic video installation about encounters, nervousness, and our digital connections”
If you’re interested - head to The Cell on May 15th!
THE EVENT IS FREE OF CHARGE!
But if you’re planning to come head to our bio to RSVP to make sure you get a spot! ❤️
Best regards
