Our goal as a comittee is to bring art and medicine closer and to create networks between students

We are a comittee under Medicinska Föreningen at KI with the ambition to provide opportunities for our members and fellow students to enjoy culture in all of its forms. We support students with an artistic talent with the foundation for reaching out with their expressions. We believe that all benefit from a close relationship between studies and opportunities to meet and be moved by works of artis

ts. Our hope is to bring students and professionals closer by discussions, concerts and exhibitions where we can form connections outside our chosen path.

Kulturutskottet välkomnar till stick & drick den 20e maj!

Kom och lär dig sticka och virka, eller lär ut dina kunskaper till någon annan. Det finns begränsat med garn och stickor på plats så ta gärna med dig det du behöver om du vill påbörja ett särskilt projekt.

On April 18th, it's Culture Night in Stockholm. An evening where you can take part in Stockholm's cultural life for free, try out or discover something new. It can be hard to choose between all 200 events, so we at the Culture Committee want to give you tips on what we think looks the most fun!

Milena: I would visit the Silent Disco at Unga Klara, there's nothing that gives me as much energy as dancing!

Astrid: A world of sound in Stockholm Cathedral seems nice. There you can listen to harmonies, sing along and be filled with light and presence in the cathedral!

Mia: My recommendation is the Royal Opera. Take the opportunity before the opera closes for renovation this summer! My brother and I went to try out ballet a few years ago without any prior knowledge and had a great time. Make sure to get there early if you want a ticket to their workshops!

Pouria: At Skrivstudion they are holding a workshop in writing exercises, the event is called “Write the first words of your next novel” and I think that sounds interesting!

Edith: I recommend “Ensam” at Strindbergs Intima Teater, where you can both see the performance, go to a workshop or hear the conversation between the director and the actors!

Tack till alla som deltog, skickade in bidrag och bidrog till en mycket uppskattad KU skrivartävling och utställning på The Cell. Vi vill även rikta ett särskilt tack till Jonas Nordquist för hans medverkan och värdefulla bidrag.

Kulturutskottet presenterar: utställning av årets bidrag till skrivartävlingen på The Cell!

På torsdag 19/3 finns Kulturutskottet på The Cell. Varmt välkomna för att kika på årets bidrag till Kulturutskottets skrivartävling, samt för att titta runt på The Cells utställning ”Me You We - Exploring human behavior”.

På plats kommer även Jonas Nordquist från Health Educational Arts Network att finnas, för att prata om konstens roll inom medicinen.

The Culture Committee presents: an exhibition of this year’s submissions to the writing competition at The Cell!

On Thursday, March 19, the Culture Committee will be at The Cell. You are warmly welcome to come and take a look at this year’s entries to the Culture Committee’s writing competition, as well as explore The Cell’s exhibition “Me You We - Exploring Human Behavior.”

Jonas Nordquist from the Health Educational Arts Network will also be there to talk about the role of art within medicine.
