We love our star themes on Club Mackan. And the next release is no different. We welcome Berlin-based James Rod with a stellar two-track EP, Astrolosis. With remixes from Aleito and Marcus Christiansen, this release is a journey through cosmic melodies, galactic grooves, and star-born transformations.

The title track, ”Astrolosis,” shines with a bright, uplifting melody that never quite sits still. Like a star undergoing metamorphosis, its sound keeps shifting while its core remains the same—steady bassline, euphoric tone, and clever layering. It’s cosmic, happy, and hypnotic.

”Giorgiolate” follows with a groove that feels like a disco beat turned cinematic. The bassline takes the lead, constantly evolving and commanding the spotlight. Not-so-subtle FX and nuanced shifts in rhythm keep the track dynamic, giving it a sense of propulsion through space.

Marcus Christiansen’s remix of
”Astrolosis” injects drama and edge into the original. With a bit of acid and a powerful build-up, the remix builds tension like a dying star—only to explode into euphoric release, a true supernova moment.

Aleito, on the other hand, turns ”Giorgiolate” into something far darker. Think dark matter made audible. Pitched-down percussion and haunting melodies make his version feel like it belongs in a distant, unknown galaxy.

Tune in, set your course, and let the soundwaves carry you across the stars.

Next up: another dose of Spanish finesse from the talented . Joining the ride is the cosmic force of nature, . And as a final surprise — our own returns on remix duties.

We welcome another stellar Spanish DJ and producer to the Club Mackan roster: Silicodisco. This time, we set our coordinates for Old Shanghai—a place out of time, blending echoes of the past with glimpses of the future. As always, we travel with good company: Bizzarro Universe and our own Marcus Christiansen are on board for remix duties.
Silicodisco guides us through two original tracks, ”Old Shanghai” and ”Look Back Without Me,” each offering a unique chapter of this nostalgic expedition. With mellow synths, driving basslines, and unmistakable 80s-inspired beats, these tracks transport us to a dimension somewhere between memory and imagination.
”Old Shanghai” opens with voice-like, trance-gated synths that serve as the emotional core of the track. A dramatic midsection catapults us into the future with sharper, more aggressive synths, before gently bringing us back to where we started—a loop through time with purpose and precision.
”Look Back Without Me” leans into a similar palette but follows a more introspective path. A soft chord progression carries the main theme, while restless arpeggios create a simmering tension, unresolved yet hypnotically beautiful.
Bizzarro Universe reworks ”Old Shanghai” with a clear nod to the 90s: punchy 909 drums, a euro-inspired bassline, sharp chord stabs, and a generous splash of acid. It’s a real powerhouse.
Marcus Christiansen takes ”Look Back Without Me” deeper into darker territory. By emphasizing the arpeggios and adding a gritty acid bassline, his version edges closer to electro, intensifying the track’s restlessness while giving plenty of release.
No matter your direction, this release offers a timeless journey through sound. Boarding now.

Our favorite Black Martian has returned for another interstellar mission with Club Mackan. Mundo D, captain of the Cosmic Exploration team, embarks on a retro-futuristic odyssey, delivering three stellar tracks that navigate the Synthiverse between the realms of EBM and Italo Body Music.

Joining the crew on this voyage are Club Mackan captain Marcus Christiansen and Karl Draum, helping steer the ship through the vast Synthiverse, adjusting the course with their own cosmic interpretations.

The title track, Cosmic Exploration, launches with 80s-heavy EBM percussion and bass, paired with razor-sharp saw synths that slice through the atmosphere. Echoing elements of rave, progressive house, and trance, it’s a prime example of what we like to call Italo Body Music—driving, hypnotic, and yet catchy.

Music follows a similar orbit but veers slightly toward electro, while still harnessing the piercing energy of the saw synths. It’s a cosmic signal pulsing through the ether, charged with nostalgia yet wired for the future.

Rounding off the journey, Death Match is an intense collision of 80s influences fused into a modern powerhouse, its intricate arrangements ensuring that this sonic duel is one for the ages.

When Marcus Christiansen assumes control of Cosmic Exploration, the course shifts. The ride is smoother, yet curiously bouncier—propelled by iconic 80s snares and drifting somewhere between synthwave, trance, and piano house. A new trajectory, but still within the same constellation.

Meanwhile, as Karl Draum takes the helm of Music, the coordinates push further into trance territory. Have we crossed into uncharted space, or are we simply seeing the familiar from a new perspective? Perhaps you can help us decide.

Prepare for lift-off. Cosmic Exploration awaits.

Get ready to press play on Club Mackan’s latest release: V***r Games by Brandski. This EP invites you into a sonic arcade of 80s and 90s-inspired tracks, blending Italo disco, trance, and techno vibes to create a high-score worthy experience. With three versions of the title track and two remixes, V***r Games delivers a multifaceted adventure that’s as versatile as it is nostalgic.

The Italo Mix is a playful, melody-driven delight. Brandski crafts a vibrant track full of call-and-response synths that nods to retro 90s arcade games. It’s an upbeat, high-energy ride that captures the charm and fun of Italo disco.

For a more intense challenge, the Rave Mix speeds up to a 142 BPM. Starting with a dubby, techno-infused section, it gradually unveils familiar melodies from the Italo Mix. The laid-back, stripped-down approach combines with a trance-inspired bassline, making it a perfect bridge between genres.

Then there’s the Drum Tool—a rhythmic powerhouse designed to keep the energy high in any mix. It’s the backbone of the EP, ready to power up any track on the dance floor.

Adding their own spin to the game, RotorMotor transforms V***r Games into a trance anthem, or shall we call it a bonus level? By reimagining the melodies as sawtooth waves and introducing heavier percussion and a fresh bassline, their remix is a euphoric ride that’s ready for peak-time play.

SLTBQ, on the other hand, opts for a dub techno approach with a hint of acid. Cleverly incorporating the vocals and bringing the original pads back at unexpected moments, SLTBQ’s remix is both atmospheric and primal, keeping listeners on their toes and making it the final boss.

Whether you’re a fan of Italo disco, trance, or techno, V***r Games offers a little something for everyone. Insert your coin, press play, and let the music transport you to a retro-futuristic adventure.

Welcome to V***r Games. Ready? Player one.

Step right up and immerse yourself in the spectacle of Club Mackan’s latest release: Break Circus by Error 401. This EP dives headfirst into the realms of 90s house and pop nostalgia with its fast tempos, playful chords, and basslines inspired by the iconic ”lately bass.”

The title track, Break Circus, is a whirlwind at 140 BPM, bursting with energy and flair. Classic pitched-up rap vocals and an undeniable 90s house feel make this track the showstopper of the EP—an electrifying act that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Got To Please You, the second original, takes a more melodic and pop-infused approach. With lush, bell-like chords and a bassline that nods to modern trends while paying homage to the golden age of dance music, it’s a track designed to captivate both your heart and the dance floor.

Joining the lineup are two stellar remixes. Mana Function’s take on Break Circus ramps up the tempo and dives into a trance-inspired euphoria. Its use of iconic 7th saw synths transports you back to the 90s while maintaining a fresh and invigorating edge.

Meanwhile, Laion delivers a more modern twist with his remix of Got To Please You, ironically by adding elements from the 80s. By slowing down the track and widening the chords, Laion transforms Got To Please You into an anthem, showcasing both elements from the 90s with an 80s sounding bassline. The result flirts with both Italo Disco and Trance, while somehow finding its home in the Indie Dance genre on Beatport.

Whether you’re a fan of the faster, modern takes on 90s house and trance, or Indie Dance, or simply crave an eclectic mix that dances through time, Break Circus promises to be a show you won’t forget.

Welcome to the Break Circus. Let the music dazzle you.

As we approach Christmas, one might expect snow to blanket the north. Instead, we’re showered in sunlight as the bright and brilliant Astore makes his debut on the label.

With beautiful arpeggios, lush pads and pristine synth melodies that sparkle like stars in a winter night sky, Astore delivers a very familiar and nostalgic feeling to something that is ironically brand new. Joining this voyage through time are two exceptional producers, Kay-Chi and Ilya Santana, each adding their unique perspective of nostalgia.

Kay-Chi delivers a straightforward remix of Sunshower—literally. With no key changes, it takes a steady and focused path, driving straight toward its ultimate destination: the dance floor.

Ilya Santana, on the other hand, reimagines Flashback as a synthwave anthem, and we absolutely love it. His take captures the retro spirit in a way that feels unmistakably rooted in the era we’ve landed in.

This EP isn’t just a trip back in time—it’s a celebration of the era that inspired it all. And we’re confident you’ll love the journey as much as we do.
