Platform Stockholm is a studio collective is seeking to develop and promote cultural production through experimental administration and group organizations We are interested in developing group participation through web-based technologies such as online voting systems.

Rent: SEK 1359.- incl. VAT
Size: 7 m2
Available from April 2nd, 2025

The monthly rent includes internet connection, electricity, heating, water supply as well as access to, and cleaning of common areas in the building. Please be aware that the size of the rooms is an estimate and may differ by single - / + sqm.

If you are interested in a studio you are required to submit a notice of interest digitally, containing a brief digital presentation of your artistic or cultural practice or a link to your website. Members of the studio collective vote on which applicant will take over the studio. With the first month's rent, a deposition equivalent of 2 months' rent is added.

Application deadline: Friday, March 7 2025 at noon.
Selection date: Friday, March 12 2025

Viewings: Tuesday, March 4 at 10am and 5pm. In order to RSVP please fill in this form and specify which time you want to come.

Platform Stockholm has three floors in the house. The first floor contains a gallery and event space for performances, lectures, film screenings, etc. Floor two and three house artist studio's.

Born in the United States and living in Berlin, Lindsay Lawson’s (1982) work spans a variety of media and a particular research-process of contractual legal agreements she called ‘Arrangements’. Her practice often deals with the presence and agency of objecthood in virtual and physical spaces. Lawson’s most recent work breaks apart images and text to leave the view with inherently flawed partial messages in the form of paintings and sculptures.

Lawson holds an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has participated in several prestigious residencies, including the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan (2013); 1646, The Hague (2016); Trinity Square Video, Toronto (2015, 2017); and the Thun Ceramic Residency, Bolzano (2017).
