During day 3 SFS got to experience the more intimate and unique showrooms and exhibitions.
The day started with , a Stockholm based jewelry brand. They work with permanent jewelry and piercings. Their event was a showroom exhibition, where they showed previews that centered around jewelry as something you live with, not just an accessory.
After this the mood completely shifted when we entered unique exhibition. The brand itself is an artist led wearable art and fashion concept brand. This event was an art installation by . The scene was set up with a huge black statue, with live music at the center. It focused on connecting with the body and space.

Day 3 demonstrated the true nature of Stockholm Fashion week, where runway is not the only aspect of fashion. Fashion is art at its core, it’s not just about clothing, it’s about identity and creation.

MEET THE MAKER: ZALA HRASTAR OF MORJA

Old fabrics, new stories, and nothing left behind.

Zala Hrastar is a Slovenian designer and founder of MORJA, an upcycled fashion brand giving new life to old garments, leftover fabrics, and forgotten textiles.

For Zala, waste is never just waste. Even the smallest cutting scraps are collected and reused in the sewing process, becoming part of new pieces, new textures, and new stories.

We first connected with Zala through Slow Fashion Show 2024, where she was part of our runway. Since then, her work has continued through collections, workshops, and international experiences - from Budapest Fashion Week and Ljubljana Fashion Week to her internship at Swedish fashion brand Rave Review.

Last November, we created our first SFS x MORJA workshop together in Stockholm. Now, as Zala returns to Sweden for midsommar, we are gathering again, this time for a Visible Mending Workshop.

Bring a garment with a stain, tear, hole, or one that has simply lost its spark, and join us for an evening of stitching, fika, creativity, and slow fashion.

VISIBLE MENDING WORKSHOP ✨

Some clothes are too loved to let go of.

A small tear, a stain, a worn cuff, a faded spot - these little marks tell stories. Instead of hiding them, let’s turn them into something beautiful.

Join MORJA x Slow Fashion Show for an evening of visible mending, creativity, and care at DoTank.

Bring a garment you love but no longer wear because of a stain, tear, hole, or simply because it feels like it has lost its spark. Together, we will explore the art of visible mending using hand stitching, patches, and creative interventions to celebrate imperfections and transform them into unique design features. Rather than hiding signs of wear, we’ll learn how to make them part of the story.

No sewing experience needed - just bring a piece of clothing and curiosity.

🗓 Date: Tuesday, 16 June
⏰ Time: 16:30–19:30
📍 Place: DoTank
🎟 Tickets: Student 50 kr / Adult 70 kr
☕ Ticket includes summer fika + coffee / bubbles
👥 Limited to 20 spots

Book your seat through Confetti - link in bio.

🌿 Extend the life of garments you already own. Share ideas and connect with fellow creatives. Leave with a renewed piece that feels like you again No previous sewing experience is needed. Just bring a garment you’d like to give new life to and a willingness to experiment.

At MORJA, we believe life becomes richer when we care for and cherish what is already part of it. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, repair with intention, and create new stories from the pieces we already hold dear.

We can’t wait to stitch, create, and share the evening with you.

A little moment from our last creative workshop with designer Zala from MORJA ✨🧵

No trending sound needed - just real conversations, hands creating, clothes being transformed, and people slowing down together.

In November, we gathered to upcycle, stitch, share ideas, and give forgotten garments a new story.

And now… we are doing it again.

This June, MORJA x Slow Fashion Show are coming together for a new workshop dedicated to visible mending - repairing, personalizing, and celebrating the clothes we already own.

Bring a garment with a stain, tear, hole, or simply one that lost its spark, and turn it into something you’ll want to wear again.

More details coming very soon. Stay tuned!

Limited spots available - tickets will be shared through Confetti.

Luka Doung, former SFS designer, shows the true art of tradition. Born to Vietnamese parents in the Czech Republic, his fashion reflects his story and his connection to his culture.

Through simple family nostalgia and summers spent at his grandmother’s house, his collections explore the tension between urban growth and the traditions of his heritage. Accents of yellow, gold, and red in his collection “Sauce Piquante”, paired with experimental and modern silhouettes, bring his work to life.

Since his appearance at SFS 2022, Luka Doung has earned his place as the opening collection of Paris Fashion Week 2024, bringing his culture to the house of couture. In doing so, he creates space for tradition and cultural expression at the highest level of fashion.

We wish Luka luck on his journey as he continues to develop and refine his work, and hope to see his vision return to the runway once more.

Slow Runway aims to show the different layers of sustainable fashion, not only within independent design, but within the highest level of fashion as well: the runway.

This week, Thảo Nguyễn represents a quieter form of rejection. Her collections speak for themselves. While her designs feel modern and relevant, her production is rooted in traditional craftsmanship. Through the use of handwoven fabrics, natural dyes, and a strong focus on process rather than just the final garment, she preserves Vietnamese techniques that are often overlooked in today’s fast-paced industry.

Her production methods take time and tremendous effort, which steps her out of the fashion system. In doing so, she challenges the idea that speed and constant newness define fashion. At the same time, her collections prove that tradition is not stuck in the past. Through modern silhouettes and contemporary design, she shows that true craftsmanship has a place in the present.

With Thảo Nguyễn, sustainability becomes quiet, intentional, and deeply rooted in the way fashion is made.

This week Vivienne Westwood is starting off Slow Runway. Her approach to sustainability is undeniable, not just through her brand, but through her personal activism as well. She shows what action really means within the fashion system.
From locking herself in a cage in protest, to showing up at climate demonstrations, she uses her voice in a way that cannot be ignored.

This is reflected in her collections too. Her designs are timeless, structured, and effortlessly elegant, but they also carry a message. They reflect her belief in choosing well-made garments that last, rather than following fast fashion cycles.
At the same time, her runway becomes a space for activism, with slogans and statements calling attention to climate change, overconsumption, and corruption within the system.

Through Vivienne Westwood, we see a form of fashion that is loud, direct, and impossible to ignore. Sustainability here is not only about materials, but about taking action, questioning the system, and refusing to follow what is considered “normal”.

Szymon Jachna is proof that circular production doesn’t require compromise. As an SFS designer, he has built his brand around sustainable and ethical sourcing — but what truly sets Ministry of Internal Affairs apart is the way the brand operates.

MOIA works entirely on demand: no garment is produced until it has been purchased. This means zero overproduction, zero excess fabric, and no need to predict market demand. Every piece is intentional, controlled, and created only when needed — reducing waste, pollution, and unnecessary use of energy and water.

Both Szymon’s SFS collection and his brand collection reflect this philosophy. The collections were intentionally minimalist, featuring only two shirts and one pair of trousers — just enough to offer choice without overwhelming production or encouraging overconsumption.

Brands like Szymon’s represent what truly sustainable consumer culture can look like: consuming less, not through restriction, but by supporting brands that make only what is necessary.

Szymon Jachna is a reflection of the fact that circular production doesn’t require mainstream compromise. Szymon is an SFS designer, who builds his brand around prioritizing sustainable and ethical sourcing. However what truly sets his brand Ministry Of International Affairs apart, is the way he runs this brand. MOIA operates on pure demand, no garment is made until purchased, ensuring zero waste, zero excess fabrics, no second guessing market demands. This ensures that all production is intentional, and controllable, eliminating overstocking and reducing energy and water water and pollution. Symons SFS collection and brand collection reflect this ideal. These collections were kept intentionally minimalist, showing only two shirts and one pair of pants. Which is just enough so that customers have a choice, but not too much as to overwhelm production and consumer. Brands like Szymion’s represent what true sustnablöe consumer culture looks like.
Consuming less, not out of self control but because you are buying from brands that make only what is needed.

Brands like Eileen Fisher show the full potential of a sustainable model when integrated from the start, not added in later. By designing garments to move through multiple life cycles, they challenge the idea that clothing is disposable.

In a culture driven by the constant consumption of the new, this kind of model slows things down. It extends not just the life of a garment, but its value. Eileen Fisher’s approach to production is not only important for garment longevity but because it introduces a whole new garment mindset.Clothing, the becomes less something we can finish and more of something that can continue.
