For decades, Nordic Fabric Fair has been an established meeting place for fashion fabric sourcing at Stockholm Fashion District. As we look ahead to this December’s edition, the fair enters a new chapter, expanding to include functional and performance textiles, as well as textile innovation, bringing fashion and function together under one roof in collaboration with Huginbiz.

Nordic Fabric Fair – Fashion & Function offers a gateway to the Nordic market, creating opportunities to build new relationships across the region. With more suppliers to discover, new materials and technologies to explore, and new connections to make, the fair brings together expertise and opportunities from across the textile industry.

Together, we are shaping the next step towards a circular textile ecosystem!

This Monday marked an important milestone in Slut cirkeln textil – a project led by Nordiska Textilakademin that we are proud to be part of.

After a nine-month preliminary study, we came together to share the results and, above all, look ahead to what comes next. Businesses, public-sector organisations and other stakeholders brought their expertise, perspectives and commitment to one important question: How do we build a circular textile ecosystem in Nacka?
Through discussions around circular procurement, business needs and the ecosystem, concrete ideas for future projects began to take shape – all with the ambition of moving from knowledge and ideas to practical implementation.

The direction is clear: circular business models need to be tested in real-world settings, while the right stakeholders need to be brought together to make it happen.
The pieces of the puzzle are there. Now we need to start testing the solutions together.

Slut cirkeln textil is funded with support from Tillväxtverket, Utveckling och innovation Region Stockholm and the European Regional Development Fund. Other project partners include Nacka kommun, Nacka vatten och avfall, Stockholm Fashion District, Alecta Fastigheter and Företagarna Nacka Värmdö.

On 12 August 2026, the EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) became applicable. The Regulation replaces the previous Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive and introduces common – and, in several areas, stricter – rules for packaging across the EU. Its aim is to reduce packaging waste, increase recycling and reuse, and at the same time create more harmonised rules across the European market.
