My second blue bridal showpiece - this piece was created with a feeling of the freshness of a longed for summer rain. If you look closely, you will find the little white snail surrounded by hand made flowers and crystal rain drops which I've taken from repurposed jewelry. It was not easy to find so many matching drops, but after weeks of searching for the perfect match on charity shops and marketplaces I finally found it!

This is the Sweet Petrichor sunglasses. Hope you'll love them as much as I do. 🌦🐌💧

Petrichor is the pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.

Most of us have heard the old wedding rhyme "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe".

Let me introduce you to the Something Blue sunglasses from my bridal showpiece collection. Combining a vintage piece, a beautiful swallow carrying a crystal pearl in its beak, as the something old and borrowed, with beautiful handmade flowers to represent something new and something blue, this might be one of my favorite pieces to date. I would have loved to wear these to my own wedding - and I'd sure rock them on the honemoon!

Each flower is made by hand and you might be surprised to learn that these beauties only weigh 70 gr in total. As a fabulous bonus you can also wear them as a necklace. The best of all worlds!

I've chosen to go with the Something Blue sunglasses, not only because it was the most popular suggestion, but because of the story behind this piece. The swallow comes from a brooch I got from a charity shop some years back, and combined with all the handmade flowers I created for this piece it goes perfectly with the 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'. I admit there is no sixpence, but then again, these are not a pair of shoes.
