Happy Naming Day Baby Dragonfly 🔥🕯️

This was such a remarkable and special naming ceremony for a wonderful family. There was so much love, joy and energy in the room for this little smiley fire cracker. Mum and Dad created such a wonderful vibe, with beautiful decorations, fab festoons and lots of love poured into every detail. Check out Grandma’s amazing baking with the most beautiful cake 💕

With lots of music and laughter - including a sing along, family hand fasting, candle lighting and 11 guide parents - this was such an unforgettable day. 🌈

The venue was incredible - a beautiful old Scottish Church converted into an intimate theatre and vibey cafe-bar. Definitely check out for your next celebration, wedding, naming ceremony or event. The team are amazing and really work hard to make everything so special. 🎭 🍾 🎉

Oh what a beautiful September wedding 🍃

It was such a pleasure to conduct the wedding of N&M at the fab Good Shepherd Studios. This london wedding was all about family, celebration and new beginnings, and there was so much love in the room. 💕

Starting with a ring warming, and ending with blessings and prayers by a Reverend, this truly was a one of a kind celebration that brought together all aspects of this special family’s life 🌸

Keeping it personal and beautiful ☀️

I loved working on this intimate and personal sibling naming ceremony in July. In the family home and garden in London, it was the perfect place to celebrate three beautiful children, and the amazing modern day village that supports them. ❤️

We filled memory boxes with special things, made hand print memories, and brought together all the special people in this family’s life. And the whole ceremony was watched over by the most important guests at the party - the dogs! 🌈

What a crazy couple of weeks! 🌈

In the space of one week it was my honour to conduct the full house of ceremonies. A gorgeous baby naming, the most heart warming adoption ceremony, the coolest goth wedding and a funeral for a little baby girl. It was a roller coaster of emotions and was a week which made me grateful for being in this amazing job, helping families make memories. ⭐️

With a fully booked summer ahead, I’ll try and give you a little snapshot into each of the ceremonies.

The best colleagues are cats 🐈

While writing a wedding for one of my late summer couples, my old boy Ruben just slinked onto my knee for a cuddle. How can I resist a purrrrrfect moment with my favourite grumpy old man. 🐱

What is going on here? 🌈 🎨

Summer is going to be gorgeously busy, with a fully booked summer of weddings, naming ceremonies and adoptions celebrations. I’ll try and give you a cheeky peak behind the scenes and take you across the country with me on my celebrant adventures. 🎉

This weekend we’ll be celebrating a very special baby and making a beautiful handprint and fingerprint art as part of the ceremony. Today I’m trialling out the ink and making sure I’ve got everything ready for what I know will be a fun and happy celebration to welcome this wonderful little baby into the world. ☀️

Hello 👋 It’s been a while… ❤️

Work and life has been so busy, that I’ve honestly neglected my little slice of social media. So thought I should jump in again, and what better way than with a classic re-introduction… especially as I’ve somehow got over 700 followers! How and when did that happen!?! ❤️

My name is Poppy, a celebrant specialising in crafting beautiful ceremonies that celebrate babies, children and families. I love meeting people, telling stories and making those special moments perfect.

I have three beautiful children who are the lights of my life, Felix (4) and Carys (2). Daphne was stillborn, and is loved and celebrated everyday will always be my middle child. 🌈

I love cups of tea, books, sitcoms, Eurovision and cats (especially my fat old boy Ruben). I can’t resist a frothy coffee, so you will often find me in on of East London’s cafes with a latte and my laptop. ☕️ 🐈

I promise to try and do better at the old socials.
I’ve got some cracking blog posts just waiting for me to upload, as well as some more reviews, photos and exciting updates on what I’ve been up to. I can’t wait to share. ☀️

TFMR Awareness Day 2024 ⭐️

Termination For Medical Reasons. The devastating choice that some parents are faced with during pregnancy. Baby loss is rarely talked about in todays society, but TFMR even less so, especially in todays political climate in the USA. But this needs to change, and must change, if families are to receive the love and support they need to navigate bereavement and life after baby loss. 🌧️

I am so proud to be a TFMR safe organisation. And honoured to be able to help parents who have experience this tragic type of baby loss remember, celebrate and say goodbye to their baby. 🍃

Throughout today I’ll be posting on stories a little more info about TFMR and supporting families who experience TFMR baby loss. 🌙

And at 8pm UK time I’ll be joining live on Instagram to talk about honouring, celebrating, remembering and grieving the babies who were loved and wanted, but sadly could not stay.

As we cruise towards the warm summer months I’m getting really excited about all the naming, adoption and wedding ceremonies that are in the pipeline. It’s going to be such a joyful and busy summer. ☀️
