After two weeks of intense building, collaboration, and innovation,
the Africa Blockchain Festival Hackathon has officially wrapped, and we’re proud to celebrate the incredible talent that emerged!
🥇 1st Place: SovSeas
A decentralized project management and funding ecosystem designed to help developers and projects manage funding, visibility, and monetization transparently on-chain.
🥈 2nd Place: KuvarPay
A next-generation crypto payment gateway enabling African businesses to accept over 1,300 cryptocurrencies and receive instant local currency settlements, eliminating volatility and conversion friction.
🥉 3rd Place: MedSeal
A secure, AI-powered, decentralized healthcare solution bridging patients, doctors, and NGOs through transparent prescription management and data integrity.

🔹Hackathon Overview
Organized by Africa Blockchain Festival in partnership with Web3Bridge, the hackathon ran for 2 weeks in a hybrid (virtual + onsite) format, concluding with a Pitch Day on the Innovation Stage in Kigali.
124 participants across 6 countries: Rwanda, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, India, and Palestine
30 project submissions, spanning diverse themes like:
• AI-powered decision systems
• Fintech & payments
• Medical data security
• Gaming & digital ownership
• Governance & transparency
• Resource tracking
The top 12 projects pitched live to an esteemed judging panel from the Rwanda Blockchain Association, Rwanda Fintech Association, and Web3Bridge.

with opportunities for mentorship, product development sprints, and funding introductions.
We also discovered a group of young student builders who will continue their journey with Web3Bridge for ongoing mentorship and training.
