Beta – Timișoara Architecture Biennial is organized by the Timiș branch of the Order of Architects of Romania, funded by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center, co-funded by the Order of Architects of Romania through the architecture stamp, and A.F.C.N. Beta is a member of the LINA platform.
The 2026 edition takes place within the partnership between the Timișoara City Hall and the Miltonia Association.
Official partner: the Alber Foundation through Nord One, City of Mara, and Vivalia. With support from Retim, British Council, German Cultural Center and Goethe Institut, Institut Français Roumanie, Visit Timișoara.

Tomorrow, September 4, we’re closing the first evening of Beta 2026’s opening weekend with a party.

We’ll start outdoors at the former Ion Mincu Technical College, with access through the Botanical Park, before moving inside later in the evening.

Beta 2026 opens Friday, September 4.
We begin In Practice – as opposed to ‘in theory’ with a weekend of exhibitions, conversations, guided tours, performances, film, music and gatherings at the former Ion Mincu Technical College and around the Botanical Park.

Join us from Friday evening and throughout the weekend as the exhibition and the spaces around it come to life.
This is only the beginning. After the opening we’ll reveal the full Beta 2026 programme for the weeks ahead, all the way through 25 October.
