Good news for those who haven’t registered yet! The registration deadline for the Transilvania International Guitar Festival 2026 has been extended, giving you one more opportunity to join the competition and masterclasses.

🎸 Meet Duo Celeste.

This summer, we are delighted to welcome Duo Celeste to the 24th Transilvania International Guitar Festival.

Tudor Gliga and Dávid Orosz began their classical guitar studies at the High School of Art in Târgu Mureș, under the guidance of Ovidiu Ene and Andrei Turcu. From an early age, they participated in numerous national and international competitions and musical events.

They continued their studies at the Academy of Music Gheorghe Dima in Cluj-Napoca, where they studied with Prof. Lect. Dr. Beke István Ferenc and Prof. Conf. Constantin Andrei.

As a duo, Tudor and Dávid have performed alongside renowned guitarists, opening concerts for virtuosos such as Al Di Meola and Tommy Emmanuel. Their musical collaboration has also been recognized through numerous awards, including First Prize at the Transilvania International Guitar Festival in Cluj-Napoca, the Dan Cumpătă National Competition in Bucharest, the ETDK Student Conference and Competition in Cluj-Napoca, and the De la Baroc la Rock Classical Guitar Competition in Sibiu, as well as Second Prize at the International Interpretation Competition in Oradea.

🎶 Today, Tudor teaches chamber music and electric guitar at the Academy of Music Gheorghe Dima in Cluj-Napoca, while Dávid teaches classical guitar at the High School of Art in Târgu Mureș.

🎸 From competition winner to guest artist — meet Samuel Duciuc

Last year, Samuel Duciuc won the First Prize at the Transilvania International Guitar Festival. This year, we are pleased to welcome him back to Cluj-Napoca as a guest artist!

Samuel began studying the classical guitar in 2012 under the guidance of Ilie-Aurelian Zugrav. After graduating from the “Ciprian Porumbescu” College of Arts in Suceava, he continued his studies at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2024. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree under the guidance of Dragoș Ilie and Dan-Alexandru Arhire.

His recent years have brought prizes at competitions including the Sinaia Guitar Festival, Transilvania Youth Guitar Competition, Transilvania International Guitar Festival, and Harmonia Cordis, as well as notable results at the Romanian National Classical Guitar Olympiads.

Another important milestone came with his selection as a semifinalist at the Rhine Guitar Festival & Competition, one of Europe’s established international classical guitar competitions.

Alongside his performing career, Samuel is also active as a teacher and currently teaches at the “Ion Irimescu” School of Arts in Suceava.

🎸 Meet Luis Alejandro García.

This summer, we are delighted to welcome one of Spain's most acclaimed guitarists of his generation to the 24th Transilvania International Guitar Festival.

Praised by international critics for his expressive musicianship and compelling artistry, Luis Alejandro García has established an international career that has taken him to some of Europe's most prestigious concert halls, including the Musikverein in Vienna and the Palau de la Música Catalana. His performances have captivated audiences across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, both as a soloist and in collaboration with leading orchestras.

Winner of more than 40 international competitions, Luis has earned recognition as one of the most distinguished guitarists of his generation. Alongside his solo career, he is a passionate chamber musician, recording artist, and member of the award-winning Canary Guitar Quartet and Dalek Dúo.

A graduate with honours in Guitar and Musicology, he completed his Master's degree at ESMUC Barcelona under the guidance of Àlex Garrobé, and continues to perform extensively on international stages.

🎸 Meet Julia Trintschuk

This summer, we are delighted to welcome the acclaimed German guitarist to the 24th Transilvania International Guitar Festival.

Recognised as one of the leading guitarists of her generation, Julia has built an international career defined by artistic versatility, expressive performances, and exceptional musicianship. Since making her orchestral debut at the age of sixteen with Joaquín Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez", she has performed throughout Europe as well as North and South America, captivating audiences with programmes that span more than five centuries of music, from Renaissance masterpieces to contemporary works.

🏆 A prizewinner in more than thirty national and international competitions, Julia's recent achievements include First Prize at the prestigious Alhambra International Guitar Competition (Spain, 2024), one of the highest distinctions in the classical guitar world.

🎓 A graduate of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, where she studied with Prof. Joaquín Clerch, Julia now teaches at the Karlsruhe University of Music and is regularly invited to serve on the juries of international guitar competitions. Alongside her concert career, she has released two acclaimed albums, with a third recording set to be released in 2026.

At TIGF 2026, Julia will perform in recital, give masterclasses, and serve as a member of the international competition jury.

Registrations are now open for TIGF 2026!

The regulations for the 24th Transilvania International Guitar Festival are now available, and applications for the competition and masterclasses are officially open.

All information regarding categories, repertoire requirements, fees, deadlines, and registration can be found on our website.
