Couples deserve honest advice, fair quotations, and complete transparency.

But TRANSPARENCY should ALWAYS work both ways.

It should be expected not only from wedding planners, but also from suppliers. Assumptions, hidden markups, or different quotations based solely on the involvement of a wedding planner have no place in a professional industry.
