The S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants 2011 was announced yesterday. With Noma restaurant in Denmark retaining its number one spot fro a second year.
A big congratulation to Portugal's Villa Joya for coming in at 79.

There isn't a pastelaria in Lisbon that doesn't sell pasteis de nata. But there's only one pastry vendor that sells the legendary pasteis de Belem. The exact recipe originated in the Jeronimos monastery at Belem before an enterprising baker got hold of it. The method is now a closely guarded secret but the results, happily, aren't.
