✅ Same American Engineering Influence 🇺🇸 The bridge was built by the American Bridge Company, the same firm that worked on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco (not the Golden Gate, but still a major SF icon!).
✅ Similar Design, Different Colors: Although both bridges have suspension designs, the Ponte 25 de Abril is actually closer in structure to the Bay Bridge than the Golden Gate. However, its vibrant red color makes it resemble its famous Californian "twin"!
✅ Built for More Than Just Cars: Originally a car-only bridge, it was later adapted for trains—just like many major U.S. bridges! 🚗🚆
