Today Gruesome Records celebrates its 4th anniversary and oh do we have a treat for you! After 35 releases and much more still to come, we're proud to say that we didn't let the passion fade away and we promise to hang around for more years to come! A major THANK YOU to everyone who supported and helped Gruesome Records, from bands to fans, from media partners to promoters, you all fu***ng RULE!

Enough talk, let's go to the highlights! For starters, and for the entire month of June, we will be offering an exclusive discount on our official Bandcamp page. 4 YEARS = 40% DISCOUNT! Last but not least, a new release announcement... HAIL DEATH ALMIGHTY! After years of endurance and persistence, the unholy kings of Portuguese melodic style of Death Metal Theriomorphic, will celebrate 27 years in the Underground scene with their first ever compilation release, titled "Black Death". So, this way we'll be joining forces with our good friends Theriomorphic and be a part of their continuous history with this compilation, a landmark on the band's discography and enduring career! "Black Death" will be available on CD and will see the light of day next November 15th, in an exclusive hand numbered and limited edition of 100 copies! It will include highlights from the band's studio discography, as well as rare and never before released tracks and you can now check out the amazing artwork for this one! More details will be revealed soon...

THERIOMORPHIC [PT] @ NADA FEST ‘22
• Tudo começou no ano de 1997, quando o vocalista e baixista Jó decidiu sair da sua banda anterior e começar um novo projecto. Novas e velhas ideias começaram a ser trabalhadas, mas só em em 1999 vieram os ensaios regulares e os primeiros concertos. Em 2000 foi editada a demotape «The Human Masquerade» e em 2004 foi gravado o primeiro álbum, «Enter The Mighty Theriomorphic». Em 2008 gravam e editam o segundo álbum, «The Beast Brigade». No ano 2010 gravam o tema «Outra Rodada», dos Mata Ratos, para um disco de tributo aos 28 anos da banda, com o título «Covers, Cu & Mamas – O Tributo Ideal».
Ao longo dos anos, houve várias mudanças de membros, o que acabou por fazer com que se cruzassem diferentes influências e gostos musicais e se perdesse um pouco o rumo inicial, que dava ao som dos Theriomorphic uma identidade muito própria.
Em 2016 gravam mais um tema para um disco de tributo, desta vez aos Simbiose, com «Metal não é Fascismo». Em 2018, é editado um EP com 4 temas intercalados com curtas peças mais instrumentais, para acrescentar alguma diversidade à sonoridade habitual, entitulado «Of Fire And Light».
No início de 2020 há mais uma renovação na formação e, actualmente, a equipa está a trabalhar em temas para um próximo registo.

🗓 NADA FEST

Na sequência do fim do Santa Maria Summer Fest, a Associação Juvenil CulturMais resolveu começar do zero, do NADA, na tentativa de criar algo novo e diferente que traduzisse também um sentimento de pertença para todos, e em particular para quem nos apoia. Assim, vamos levar por diante um festival de música alternativa em que as sonoridades mais extremas marcarão presença. É pois Na Alma Do Alentejo, na cidade de Beja, que surge este festival de 2 dias e limitado a 150 pessoas que marcarão presença cerca de 20 bandas. Paralelamente teremos exposições a ocorrer, assim como seminários alusivos a temáticas da atualidade.

A pouco mais de 4 meses do Vagos Metal Fest 2022, temos o prazer de anunciar o cartaz final com todas as bandas, que f**a completo com 3 grandes bandas.
A celebrarem 40 anos de carreira, e à muito esperados em Portugal, conseguimos ter de volta no cartaz os Dirty Rotten Imbeciles aka D.R.I. os texanos são umas das mais carismáticas bandas de crossover sendo por muitos considerados os pioneiros deste gênero que mistura hardcore/punk/thrash, uma oportunidade única para celebrar 4 décadas de banda num dos maiores palcos de Portugal!
Os Fonte vencedores da final do concurso de bandas em Fevereiro passado no RCA Club, juntam aos Mordaça a força de Linda-A-Velha como berço de grandes projetos hardcore/metal.
Para finalizar convidamos uma das grandes bandas de folk metal espanhol os Saurom Sitio Oficial estão a ser um verdadeiro sucesso nos maiores palcos de Espanha, e depois de já terem passado por Portugal noutras alturas , chega agora a consagração na Capital do Metal em Portugal, Vagos!
São três nomes que se juntam ao excelente cartaz que apresentamos este ano, com Testament, Dimmu Borgir, Exodus, Emperor, My Dying Bride, Trollfest, Asphyx, Tarantula, Serrabulho entre muitos outros!
Para além da música como todos já sabem o Vagos Metal Fest é uma experiência total e por isso teremos o regresso do beer garden, das actividades náuticas mas muito, muito mais que anunciaremos em breve.

SWR FEAST - RELEVANT QUESTIONS!

We are 7 weeks away from the invasion of Barroselas and some warriors still have doubts... we have compiled in this detailed attack guide some of the most relevant questions.

TICKETS: Those who already have a SWR FEST 23 ticket can choose between:
- saving it for 2023 and buy a new ticket for SWR FEAST at swrfest.bigcartel.com
- exchanging it for a SWR FEAST ticket and receive 13 Steels by emailing name/ticket number to [email protected]
- asking a refund to [email protected] until 01.04.2022

SITE: The festival will be smaller and therefore with limited capacity. The main stage will be at SWR Arena and the secondary stage at SWR FEST Cafe, 4 bands per day on each stage. As the space will be smaller, the services available will also be adapted to the size of the festival site.

CAMPING: It will run wild as in the last editions and will be open from the 28th of April. Hot showers available from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Barroselas Municipal Swimming Pool. The Rent-a-Tent option is not yet available but we will have news soon.

BUS: Buses to/from Viana do Castelo will run as usual.

COVID-19: The conditions of access to the event have not yet been defined, as well as the mandatory use of a mask. We will comply with the health regulations in force at the time of the event and, in any case, we recommend testing in case of symptoms and using the mask whenever necessary.
