Today, I OFFICIALLY and FINALLY made a life long dream come true. By my latest calculation when chatting with Dr. Mommikins, it took about 21 years!!!

While many people had the opportunity to study abroad during my undergrad and culinary school years, I was working 2-3 jobs and my parents were still building their "American Dream".

I often look at the closest people in my circle, and see ALL they've been able to accomplish when many have buried their dreams and listened to those telling them things like "it's too late", "you'll NEVER make it", "you don't have the background", "you don't have the capital", "you don't have the connections", "you're parents didn't, so you can't either" and so much more.

Well, I'm here to say...I've been able to accomplish a lot on my long list of dreams. Well after I thought I would, could or should. It hasn't been easy in ANY shape of the word, but sitting here in my dorm room in , at 1:43am, I'm beyond grateful that I am embarking upon this opportunity to study food in new ways.

I know this couldn't be possible without God, my parentals and SUPER STRONG support system.

So what ever it is you're still dreaming of, make it happen!!! It's OK to have some things you deeply desire on the back burner, just make sure the pilot light stays lit 🔥🔥🔥

Now with that said, it's bed tiiime...cause I'm buggin!!! Class starts bright and early tomorrow, ain't no more orientations and picnics in the building and park!!! 🤣🤣🤣

You are truly a special human being. I honestly don't know how I'd continue to navigate this world without you. You're a lighthouse, moon, sun and stars all rolled together. You're presence makes the world a much better, sacred and bearable place.

Thank you for taking your job as a mother as serious as you do, and for always putting me and the siblings FIRST. You're treasured. You inspire me daily to become the best version of my self and chase my dreams with such an urgency, not just to better my life, but the world around me.

💝 post...In honor of Mother's Day Weekend. My mom is THE most selfless, generous, caring, humble and loving human I know. It's NO wild wonder that the profession instilled into her spirit at birth and called her to serve is a match made in heaven!!!

She could have definitely worked private practice and banked maaaaad more 0's, commas, etc., and NO one would have blamed her especially after ALL she went through to achieve her lifelong of becoming a . HOWEVER, her purpose and passion has always been to utilize her talents to help OUR many many unsung , essential workers. Today and ALWAYS I SALUTE YOU 💖
