We can finally share the big news - IGDA Portugal is officially active!!! 🎉🎉🎉

IGDA Portugal is the local Portuguese chapter of the International Game Developers Association, a non-profit professional association that supports and empowers individual game developers in achieving fulfilling and sustainable careers.

Our mission is to connect game developers, cultivate grounds for knowledge sharing and support, provide resources and opportunities for career and personal development, and advocate for developers so they can thrive in the industry knowing their voices are heard.

We’re counting on your enthusiasm in what we aim to be an exciting step towards a bigger future for gamedev in Portugal!

Today, we’re closing a big chapter.

GameDevLisbon, as you’ve come to know it, has come to an end.

We’re immensely grateful for all the support you’ve given us over time and the goals it has permitted us to achieve: from meets to big award ceremonies as well as other events or projects.

All these gave us the opportunity to connect and push for the recognition of our national creators, collaborators and friends.

It’s also precisely because of this wonderful community that we don’t dare to say “goodbye” without the promise of something bigger!!

Stay tuned while we prepare for a big level up… 👀

From October 24th to 26th, we return with Art & Play Pombal Game Jam, our long-standing partnership with Município de Pombal and Casa Varela - Centro de Experimentação Artística .

Our event that offers a space where developers team up with artists from all fields. Whether you’ve been developing games for years or are just curious to dive in, this is your chance to collaborate, experiment, and bring new ideas to life.

What a great event we had last Saturday!
We got together at the AI Hub in Alvalade for this year's edition of GameDev Talks, followed by rooftop networking and a game showcase. And to top it all off, a birthday dinner to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Game Dev Lisbon!
