Very Urgent. My fiance, Neil André Stuart Eckersley is still missing! Vila Nova, Miranda do Corvo area, Coimbra! if anyone sees him, please contact myself or the GNR in Miranda do Corvo.
Aged 61, 1,83m, 6ft tall, large build, but not fat, very strong. He was wearing a grey fleece jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black wool hat, Green hazel eyes. Shaved head, wearing several bracelets , a gold wedding ring on his right hand.
He has tattoos on his left chest and left lower arm which hide scars from self harming in his childhood. I mention the scars as they are clearly visible under the tattoos, especially the one on his arm!
He has a prominent mole on his right shoulder blade. He's got broad shoulders but thin athletic legs.
He has mental health issues. He also has drinking problems.
He may be lost and disoriented.
He takes medication for his mental health problems and has his medication with him. He does drinks a lot of alcohol.
He suffers from very bad depression and takes tablets for depression and anxiety and also takes an antipsychotic medication for psychosis and mental health problems.
He was in the SOBRAL Cid psychiatric hospital in Coimbra last November in the Dual pathology unit and awaiting an appointment with the hospital psychiatric Hospital for regular therapy. He has regular sessions with private psychiatric clinics and psychologists.
He does not have a car in Portugal, but he can drive. He may have stolen a car or got a lift from someone. He could have caught a bus to Coimbra and then a train to Lisbon or Porto or anywhere.
He particularly loves Fig da Foz beach.
He has broken into old houses before to seek shelter and also stayed at hotels. Local hotels in Miranda checked by the Police, but he isn't there.
The Police with dogs searched the forest tracks, but found nothing.
He has run away several times before when he gets overwhelmed with stress and can't cope! He usually returns home after a few days. I have got him every help imaginable and he also has good Portuguese friends and neighbours and good doctors.
He likes to visit the cafés in Miranda do Corvo, especially the Avenida café opposite the Camara municipal in Miranda and the other two cafés next door. He also likes the café near the market hall and also the café Santa Catarina near Auchan.
He also likes the cafés and castle in Penela.
He's very physically fit and also loves to walk many Kms every day through the forest and along the river. He loves walking.
He also likes to visit the weekly markets and the car boot sale every month in Miranda do Corvo.. He also finds peace in churches!
He is English and doesn't speak much Portuguese.
