The wedding venue they chose is family-owned and farm-to-table with locally sourced ingredients. Staff at Hacienda222 make their own coconut milk from the coconuts that grow on the property (and put on the guests mahi mahi), the florals come from an organic farmer in the mountains of Puerto Rico and the wood charger plates are locally made from mahogany trees that fell during Hurricane Maria. The venue is also off the grid and doesn’t use single-use plastics.”
