We support our local farmers by sourcing as many of our raw ingredients as possible and feel that education, especially for our children is the key to agriculture sustainability and a respect and understanding of our island.

Ok folks. Less than a week before our flower plant sale at WakenBreak on Nov. 18th from 9-1 pm, or as supplies last.
Two important things to remember: #1 Our aim is to put flowers into more people’s lives so our prices range from $2 to $25. All our naturalized seed packs are $2. And many of our flowers range from $3 -$12.
#2 Even if you are just here spending the winter, so many of these bedding plants in a container will yield a winters worth of nonstop flowering beauty.

More on our flower sale: Here’s the thing that makes this event so exciting. All of these flowers are being grown successfully here at the Paradise Gardens. They are acclimated to our challenging weather, and we decided to grow what we love. Petunias, ours are either scented or double blooms. Our Vincas are the most vibrant colors. The Coxcombs were grown for their spectacular colors and interesting forms. You won’t find these cultivars for sale in most nurseries. They were all picked for their unique beauty, hardiness, and most of all to bring joy . Come see. Check our event post for all the info.

Today’s beauties: Celosia, or Coxcomb. These girls LOVE full sun. Although these are technically a n annual, here on Island they self seed so readily, once again a purchase of your favorite colors( and we have all the colors shown) will gift you for seasons to come. They also are stunning in arrangements, and make a decent dried flower. All in all a lot of bang for your buck. Come see! See our Flower Sale event on our page for the particulars

As promised. In our upcoming flower plant sale, I would HIGHLY recommend both these Salvias. Coral Salvia, and Scarlet Sage ( a salvia as well).
Not only do these plants THRIVE in Puerto Rico, but they are magnificent pollinator attractors.
Both are as happy in containers as planted in the ground.
Best news, they are a great bargain, because they self seed readily, and you’ll have a real “cottage garden”

Marinades and Vinaigrettes . Our first in the series of cooking classes on Thursday Dec. 4. There is no need to rely on one or two dressings or marinades in your cooking. In this class we will create several marinades for a variety of of proteins and veggies, and create your own signature vinaigrette crafted from YOUR favorite flavors. Class will end with a delicious meal together, and recipes and your personal vinaigrette to take home. Reserve your spot soon as space is limited.
