PYSH, Karpinsky - Boogie

Some records are made to be understood. Others are made to be entered.

Boogie belongs to the latter.

At the centre of the release is PYSH, an artist whose musical identity has never been a fixed point. From his base in Warsaw, he continues to build a world where rhythm, memory, strange textures and instinct collide. Yet what makes Boogie particularly intriguing is not simply what PYSH creates alone, but how effortlessly his sound mutates when another mind enters the equation.

Across four tracks, PYSH collaborates with Karpinsky and Novikov without ever disappearing inside the collaboration. Instead, the encounters seem to reveal different sides of the same character—a familiar voice appearing through unfamiliar rooms.

“Boogie” opens the door. A restless groove moves beneath fragments of funk, shadow and analogue dust, slowly pulling the listener somewhere that feels both new and strangely remembered. “Time For Step” follows, tightening the spiral and pushing the rhythm deeper into the body.
