Respected All Golf Associations, Affiliated Clubs & Players,
As you are aware, on 1st August 2025, PGF officially requested all Provincial/Regional Golf Associations and Affiliated Clubs to submit the names of their most promising youth golfers (born between 2007 and 2010) for participation in the 1st National Youth Games 2025 and potential qualification for the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain.
We are thankful to all Associations and Clubs who have promptly submitted their players' names. Additionally, several entries were received directly through the PGF portal from individual players.

Subsequently, PGF contacted all applicants (whether their entries came through the Associations or directly via the portal) and requested submission of mandatory documentation and personal details required for the accreditation process. We also accommodated late entries to ensure maximum participation, as per the Government's directive that no deserving talent should be left out due to administrative delays.

After consolidating all received data, PGF has submitted the final list of players and their documents to the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA). POA had set a final submission deadline of 02 August 2025 at 1600 hours, communicated via their email dated 02 August 2025 at 1130 hours.

Attached is the comprehensive list of all players whose data has been submitted to POA.
Please note, PGF has forwarded the documents exactly as received from the players. Therefore, PGF will not hold responsibility for any discrepancies, incomplete information, or document-related issues post-submission.

Clarifications for Associations & Players:
If any player, born between 01 January 2007 and 31 December 2010 (inclusive), submitted an entry via the PGF portal, but their name is missing from the attached list, please contact us immediately for verification.

If any player whose name appeared in the 01 August 2025 entry list and who submitted all required documents within the communicated deadlines, but their name is not included in the final POA submission list attached here, kindly inform us without delay for cross-checking.

This is an essential stage in ensuring our players' participation in the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, and we appreciate your immediate attention and cooperation.

⚠ Please Note: This email does not confirm your entry into Association-level trials. You must register through your Club/Association to your respective association as per their criteria.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards.

HISTORY OF PAKISTAN GOLF FEDERATION

Golf is the only game in which Pakistan literally started from scratch. The game was introduced and patronized in the Sub-Continent by the British. After partition a big void was created and the game might have been extinct in Pakistan had it not been for the few die-hard seniors who made an enormous effort to keep the game alive. Foremost among them were Mr. Tajuddin Salimi of Pakistan West Railways Club, Lahore, Mr. Rashid Habib of Karachi Golf Club and Maj. Mohsin Ali in the East Wing. Until 1958 Lahore with its two golf clubs, the Lahore Gymkhana and PWR Golf Club in West Pakistan and Tea Estate Golf Clubs in East Pakistan were the main centers of golfing activities.

President of Pakistan late Field Marshall M. Ayub Khan inaugurated the golf section of the club on 15th November 1967 and PIA Pavilion was opened by Air Marshal Asghar Khan on 26th March 1968, which is now the Clubhouse of IGC.

The absence of Pakistan at the establishment of the World Amateur Golf Council in May 1958 and the preparations for the First World Amateur Team Championship to be held at the St. Andrews (Scotland) lead to the need for a central golf organization in Pakistan.

A number of dedicated golfers realized that the time had come to form a central body for controlling the game of GOLF in the Pakistan. It was due to their dedicated and concerted efforts, the "PAKISTAN GOLF UNION" (PGU) was established in the year 1960. It was registered on 17th May 1960 under the Registration of Societies Act XXI of 1860. Its aims and objective were to promote and develop the game of Golf in Pakistan. Intimation in regard to the formation of the Pakistan Golf Union was given to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews for the purpose of its affiliation with them.
