Seminar on *“Ten Fundamental Traits of Leadership”* Held at University of Chakwal
The Department of Sociology, University of Chakwal, in collaboration with the Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences and New Yorker Pizza, successfully organized a thought-provoking seminar titled “Ten Fundamental Traits of Leadership” on October 30, 2025, at the Engineering Block, UOC.
The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of leadership qualities essential for personal growth, professional excellence, and nation-building.
The session began with a warm welcome address by the *Head of the Department of Sociology, Ms. Aimen Mahmood* who extended heartfelt greetings to the distinguished guest and participants.
In the first session, the keynote speaker, *Mr. Syed Adil Babar, Businessman and CEO of New Yorker Pizza,* delivered an inspiring talk on the fundamental and practical aspects of leadership. Drawing from his rich professional experience, he emphasized the importance of integrity, teamwork, vision, discipline, and self-motivation in developing effective leadership skills. His interactive approach encouraged students to reflect on the qualities that make a leader impactful in both social and professional contexts.
In the second session, trainers from the *Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences* conducted an engaging group discussion, allowing students to share their insights and reflections on the first session. The discussion provided a platform for active learning and fostered critical thinking among participants.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by *Mr. Nasir Malik,* who appreciated the collaborative efforts of all participants and highlighted the importance of nurturing leadership values among youth for a progressive society.
As a token of appreciation, the Department of Sociology presented a gift and certificate of appreciation to Mr. Syed Adil Babar (CEO, New Yorker Pizza and Redwood Company). In return, the honorable guest presented gifts to the faculty members of the department, symbolizing mutual respect and gratitude.
The event was well-received by both students and faculty, serving as an inspiring and informative platform to promote leadership, motivation, and youth empowerment.
