لڑکیوں کے اسکول میں آنے والی نئی ٹیچر انتہائی خوبصورت اور تعلیمی طور پر بھی مضبوط تھی لیکن اس نے ابھی تک شادی نہیں کی تھی ...

تمام لڑکیاں اس کے ارد گرد جمع ہو گئیں اور مذاق کرنے لگی کہ میڈم آپ نے ابھی تک شادی کیوں نہیں کی ...؟

میڈم نے داستان کچھ یوں شروع کی- ایک عورت کی پانچ بیٹیاں تھیں، شوہر نے اس کو دھمکی دی کہ اگر اس بار بھی بیٹی ہوئی تو اس کی بیٹی کو باہر کسی سڑک یا چوک پر پھینک آؤں گا، خدا کی مرضی وہ ہی جانے کہ چھٹی بار بھی بیٹی ہی پیدا ہوئی اور شوہر نے بیٹی کو اٹھایا اور رات کے اندھیرے میں شہر کے بیچوں بیچ چوک پر رکھ آیا، ماں پوری رات اس ننھی سی جان کے لئے دعا کرتی رہی اور بیٹی کو خدا کے سپرد کر دیا.

دوسرے دن صبح والد جب چوک سے گزرا تو دیکھا کہ کوئی بچی کو نہیں لے گیا ہے، باپ بیٹی کو واپس گھر لایا لیکن دوسری رات پھر بیٹی کو چوک پر رکھ آیا لیکن روز یہی ہوتا رہا، ہر بار والد باہر رکھ آتا اور جب کوئی لے کر نہیں جاتا تو مجبورا واپس اٹھا لاتا، یہاں تک کہ اس کا باپ تھکا ہوا اور خدا کی مرضی پر راضی ہو گیا.

پھر خدا نے کچھ ایسا کیا کہ ایک سال بعد ماں پھر پیٹ سے ہو گئی اور اس بار ان بیٹا ہوا، لیکن چند دن بعد بیٹیوں میں سے ایک کی موت ہو گئی، یہاں تک کہ ماں پانچ بار پیٹ سے ہوئی اور پانچ بیٹے ہوئے لیکن ہر بار اس کی بیٹیوں میں سے ایک اس دنیاں سے چلی جاتی.

صرف ایک ہی بیٹی زندہ بچی اور وہ وہی بیٹی تھی جس باپ جان چھڑانا چاہ رہا تھا، ماں بھی اس دنیاں سے چلی گئی ادھر پانچ بیٹے اور ایک بیٹی سب بڑے ہو گئے.

ٹیچر نے کہا پتہ ہے وہ بیٹی جو زندہ رہی کون ہے؟ "وہ میں ہوں" اور میں نے ابھی تک شادی اس لیے نہیں کی، کہ میرے والد اتنے بوڑھے ہو گئے ہیں کہ اپنے ہاتھ سے کھانا بھی نہیں کھا سکتے اور کوئی دوسرا نہیں جو ان کی خدمت کریں. بس میں ہی ان کی خدمت کیا کرتی ہوں اور وہ پانچ بیٹے کبھی کبھی آکر باپ کا حال چال پوچھ جاتے ہیں.

والد ہمیشہ شرمندگی کے ساتھ رو-رو کر مجھ سے کہا کرتے ہیں، میری پیاری بیٹی جو کچھ میں نے بچپن میں تیرے ساتھ کیا اس کے لئے مجھے معاف کرنا.

میں نے کہیں بیٹی کی باپ سے محبت کے بارے میں ایک پیاری سی قصہ پڑھا تھا کہ ایک باپ بیٹے کے ساتھ فٹ بال کھیل رہا تھا اور بیٹے کا حوصلہ بڑھانے کے لئے جان بوجھ کر ہار رہا تھا. دور بیٹھی بیٹی باپ کی شکست برداشت نہ کر سکی اور باپ کے ساتھ لپٹ کے روتے ہوئے بولی بابا آپ میرے ساتھ کھیلیں، تاکہ میں آپ کی جیت کے لئے ہار سکوں.

سچ ہی کہا جاتا ہے کہ بیٹی باپ کے لئے رحمت ہوتی ہے ...

Dr Ruth kethrina Fao ( Hila e l Pakistan ) died today In a local hospital. She will be remembered especially in Pakistan for her human work against leprosy and win this fight for Pakistan. Born in Germany in 1926 , visited Pakistan in 1962 .She found leprosy and started her clinic In a poor area of manghopir .She never left Pakistan and dedicated her life for the cause.
