5th Fatima Jinnah Ladies Golf Open Championship was conducted from 29 Jan to 1 Feb 2026 at the Royal Palm Golf Course Lahore.

Demonstrating remarkable skill, experience, and composure, Tehmina Ahmed proved her dominance throughout the tournament. Rising to the challenge in a highly competitive field, she handled the pressure of the final day with confidence and grace, ultimately securing a well-deserved championship title. In the gross category, Saqiba Batool showcased an impressive performance to secure the runner-up position, while Ayesha Moazzam finished third.

In the net category, Salbiha Murtaza from SOHA claimed top honourswhile Aliha Amjad finished as runner-up, while Arooj Kanwal secured third position, completing a commendable performance in the category. Several other participants also delivered notable performances during the event.

Chief Guest of Closing / prize distribution ceremony was Secretary Punjab Golf Association Brigadier Kamran Aslam. While addressing to the audience he said that Fatima Jinnah ladies championship has been conducted in an excellent manner setting new standards and benchmarks for the ladies golf in Punjab and across Pakistan. Brigadier Kamran also appreciated the efforts of PGA Executive Committee Member Ms Minha Zainab for the excellent coordination/ management of this mega ladies event. He also highlighted the support of sponsors which really made this ladies championship a success story.

Punjab Golf Association is committed to keep organising such golf events in future as well to promote golf in Punjab.

44th Punjab Open Golf Championship Concludes at DHA Rumanza, Multan

The 44th Punjab Open Golf Championship was successfully held at the prestigious DHA Rumanza Golf Course Multan from 4 to 7 December 2025. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from golfers competing across 8x different categories, reflecting the growing popularity and competitive spirit of golf in Punjab.

The closing and prize distribution ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Commander 2 Corps Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez, HI (M), who appreciated the high standard of competition, the professionalism displayed by the players, and the excellent organizational arrangements by DHA Multan. He commended the golfers for their enthusiasm and congratulated the winners for their outstanding performances.

The ceremony was also attended by Secretary Punjab Golf Association (Brigadier Kamran Aslam), Project Director DHA Multan (Brigadier Kashif Naeem) alongwith other distinguished guests, officials, and members of the golfing community.

In recognition of smooth conduct and related preparations of the championship, Secretary Punjab Golf Association (Brigadier Kamran Aslam) awarded the Excellent Conduct Shield to Rumanza Golf Club on behalf of President PGA, Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, HI (M).

In the championship results ladder, Mr Hamza Taimur Amin declared as the winner of the Men’s Professional & 44th Punjab Open Championship, in Senior Professional Category Mr Muhammad Tariq got 1st position, in Junior professional Category Mr Shahbaz Ali was winner while Ms Hamna Amjad was the winner in ladies Professional category. In Amateur Category Mr Shahmeer Majid was the winner. All the winners and position holders were presented trophies and prizes amid applause from the attendees.

The successful conduct of the 44th Punjab Open Championship once again highlighted Punjab as a premier golfing destination and reaffirmed PGA’s commitment to promoting golf at provincial and national levels.

The 2nd President Punjab Golf Association Open Golf Championship endorsed by Gourmet Group and fiercely contested at the flawless par-72 Defence Raya Golf Course from May 14th to May 16th 2024 brought distinction and title winning prestige for Muhammed Alam of Lahore Garrison Greens Golf Club who fought out a ferocious battle of golfing expertise against super stars like Ahmed Baig and Muhammed Shabbir to take a career enhancing leap to the victory stand.This fast improving golf professional of Pakistan certainly was in an all conquering mood, remained dominant during first two rounds through excellence and backed it up with a sturdy performance over the final 18 holes on Thursday to end up elated and successful . Normally champions like him do have a difficult time on the final day, as nerves take over and the winning confidence erodes, but Muhammed Alam successfully curbed that possibility and demonstrated rock like steadiness under pressure that kept him in the spotlight ,as the glorious one.

At the start of the final round M.Alam was five strokes ahead of the more recognized Ahmed Baig and though Ahmed Baig came up strongly ,Alam remained in control of the championship flow and at the closing 18th where it mattered most ,he putted with control and fluency to prevail over Ahmed Baig .The final aggregate scores were Muhammed Alam ,204 ,twelve under par to Ahmed Baig's 205 ,eleven under par .And the most creditable part is that throughout the three days of this championship ,brilliance of golf skills application remained his hallmark.

Ahmed Baig of Royal Palm may not have won the top prize, but remained the center of attraction throughout this championship, his scores for three rounds most impressive, the scores being 65,71 and 69.

Top positions achieved by other professionals were M.Shahzad(Lahore Garrison ) ,third at a three rounds aggregate score of 215,followed by M.Zubair (Karachi Golf Club ) fourth with an aggregate score of 216.
Bracketed at a score of 217 are Muhammed Shabbir (Margalla Greens),Talat Ijaz (Gymkhana) ,Abdul Zahoor (Multan) and Shahid Javed(Gymkhana).



In the event for senior professionals ,the winner is M.Tariq of Islamabad..Runner up is M.Naseer of Defence Raya and third is M.Akram of Gymkhana.
Junior professionals winner is Shahbaz Ali of Lahore Garrison.
Invitational winners in gross category were Muhammed Abid while Shahid Abbas was second and Hamid Asadullah was third .Net first prize went to Saeedul Haseeb.

At the conclusion of championship, the top performers were awarded prizes by Lt.Gen Abdul Aziz ,President ,Punjab Golf Association ,Brig Ayaz Masood and Ali Mehdi of Gourmet.

The Second President PGA Professional Golf Championship will be contested at the prestigious Defence Raya Golf Course from 14 th May to 16th May 2024.Top 100 golf professionals of Pakistan will be competing for title and prize money of seven million rupees. Also competing will be 35 senior professionals in the event for senior professional category. There is also an event for Junior Professionals. Sponsors are Gourmet and Askari, Faisal Bank and Jubilee Insurance.
