My happy place is where my father is!
As a little girl I always adored my fathers attention,stood by the door for hours and waited for him to come back from home, called him at least ten times at work and finally fell asleep on his arms every night. For me, he was a supernatural being who had the power to do anything in this world.
But as time went by, I realised he is just an ordinary person like all of us who breaks down at times but then wakes up each day and wears a cape; hides the burdens on his shoulders, buries his worries, puts away the frown, gathers his strength and greets me each morning with a shine in his eyes that fills me up with sense of security and a smile that makes me feel my greatest self.
He is still my super hero who spots the sorrows behind my feigned smiles, gives wings to my dreams and fills my life with unconditional love.
