Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue, Government of Pakistan, graced the Pakistan Business Summit 2025, jointly hosted by Nutshell Group and Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, as the Chief Guest for the opening session.

In his address, he elaborated on Pakistan’s economic future, the investment climate, the imperative of sustainability, the role of digital transformation, and the impact of the evolving geopolitical order on shaping resilient growth for the country.

With over 35 years of international experience in global finance, Mr. Aurangzeb has served in senior leadership roles across leading financial institutions worldwide. Before being appointed Federal Minister in March 2024, he was the President & CEO of HBL (2018–2024). Earlier, he was the CEO of J.P. Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank, Asia Pacific Region, and held senior positions at ABN AMRO, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Citi in various global financial hubs.

He has also contributed to Pakistan’s corporate and financial sector as Chairman of the Pakistan Banks’ Association, Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council, and Council Member of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan.
