1. Thou shall not overcook the pasta. It's supposed to be eaten "AL DENTE".

2. Thou shall not break the spaghetti. (Not allowed to reason out "to fit in the pot".)

3. Don't burn the garlic! It's blasphemous.

4. Never waste the tears of the gods (the pasta water)

5. NEVER PUT KETCHUP ON PASTA!

6. Honor thy nonnas (the leaders of the pasta-making tradition)

7. Never put cheese on seafood, unless it's Pecorino Romano which is made from sheep.

8. Thou shall salt the pasta water once it's boiling.

9. Thou shall honor the Pasta Gods. Do not insult them by adding cream to the carbonara, breaking the spaghetti, or putting condensed milk on any pasta recipe.

10. Thou shall not ADD CREAM to the CARBONARA. Cream in pasta is called "ALFREDO". Carbonara consists of only PECORINO ROMANO, egg yolks, freshly crushed roasted pepper, and pasta water. Or you can substitute Parmigiano Reggiano.
