As a young little girl, Patty likes making drawings of a woman wearing beautiful bouffant ballgown, dressing up Barbie & paper dolls and loves to cut croquis of wedding gowns designed by famous fashion designers that was published on a newspaper. She finds delight of watching her mother dress up and accompanies her to the nearest dress shop to have a custom blouse made. Those are the early moments
that made Patty to love Fashion and have a distinct taste when it comes to dressing up. Born in September 07, 1988, fairy tales & Disney princesses inspired & molded Valle’s style quotient while growing up in a picturesque province of Rizal, Philippines. Sophistication & elegance of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Princess Diana, the sultry cinched waists of pin-up girls and sexy icons such as Brigite Bardot & Marilyn Monroe remains the vision in making up a design... a woman that possesses glamour with a touch of sexiness. Patty says about her childhood, “I dream to design gowns and have it worn by a beautiful princess.”
Since high school, she realized that she wants to become a fashion designer. During breaks, she does sketches on the blackboard and makes designs for her classmates. “Conceptualizing my outfit for Graduation Ball was my first time to design something and make it come to life”. Later on, she took up a business course for two years but eventually pursued to take up Bachelor of Arts major in Fashion Design and Merchandising at De La Salle-College of St. She had a chance to be trained by the industry practitioners and respected designers in the Philippines that honed her aesthetics as a budding designer. During her fashion show gala, she won as “Best Designer” which later on opened up opportunities to have her works featured in major fashion magazines.
“Right after graduation, I worked as a designer for fashion retail brands of ladies casual and intimate apparel”, she says “it taught me that fashion is not just a way of expression or an outlet of creativity but it’s a business, making a very profitable design, dealing with local and foreign suppliers, building a good relationship with your production team, conceptualizing marketing strategies, customer relation, ability to make it really sell and gain profit.” “It’s great to know that the creative process of fast fashion made me exposed on how to be an effective designer & businesswoman.”
Patty started to gain clients through referrals even she was still a fashion design student. She recalls “I was really nervous to deal with my first ever debutante client yet it gave me gratification, contentment and motivation to perfect my craft. Seeing my client feel beautiful and confident while wearing my creation is really a mission accomplished.” Now, Patty loves designing wedding gowns for her bridal clients because the creative process and approach are really much more personal. It should speak for herself without uttering a word. It’s a simple way of saying “Look at me... this is my moment.” Patty dreams the same scenario, to walk down the aisle, feel beautiful while wearing her own design and creation. Just like the fairytale stories that she loved to read and imagine way back when she was still a young little girl.
