Mahal kita sa mga gabing
wala ka,
pero nandiyan ka pa rin
sa bawat tibok ng puso ko.

At kung may sukatan ang pagmamahal,
siguro matagal na akong sobra—
dahil kahit gaano kasakit,
ikaw pa rin
ang pipiliin ko
araw-araw.

Growing up, I feel like it's really normal to lost some friends, barkada or circle of friends. Because as we get older, life is normally growing and evolving too. We start to get busy, our priorities have to change and our time begins to unmatched. We'd unavoidably lost time for each others bond that may create gaps between our lows and highs. We'd broke promises or old routines that we'd unintentionally ruin because everything is not the same as it used before. Perhaps there will be moments that we'd feel abandon and no matter how we want them beside us, we'd have no choice but to accept that life doesn't always revolve in our circle of friends. We'd feel disheartened, we'd feel the changes that will eventually make us tired chasing their clock for us.

Truly as we grow up, there are many inevitable things that we couldn't stop from happening and sadly this is one of those melancholies embedded in our planet.
