BRIGHTSIDE TIP
Boy meets girl. Boy and Girl fall in love. Boy asks Girl to be her wife. Girl says yes. Boy and Girl get married.
Perfect love story, right? Indeed. But with any love story, it sometimes take a village, especially in the Philippines.
When we were planning for our wedding, I had my Mood Board down to a T. I have always dreamed about my wedding day and I, together with my husband, knew everything about it. But weeks leading to our wedding day, we requested our parents to join us in our meeting with our wedding coordinator.
Why?
Because we want them to be informed of how we want our wedding day to be. See, there is a gap with how weddings were done during their time against ours. So it is best to include your parents (more for a "for-your-information" reason) to save you and your suppliers from having to explain everything during your wedding day. Also, we heard their concerns and were able to address them beforehand so not too much stress on that day.
Also, since your parents will be the persons who will entertain your guests before the ceremony and the reception start, it would be best that they know the program, the dinner time, the entire day schedule so that they can help you in coordinating with the relatives, their kumares and kumpares.
Happy to help! Happy planning!
Love,
